• Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version.

Fighters you liked that didn't turn out to be great or elite level but you're still a big fan of?

Mine is Doo Ho Choi
Came to the UFC as a young hot prospect with 11-1 record
Won first 3 UFC fights by 1st round KO
Then losses his next 3 fights, taken a lot of damage, and got finished twice
But I'm still a big "Superboy" fan and hope he'll come back stronger

*UPDATE on him: His hand that he injured in Dec. 2019 against Jourdain is now healed and now he's back on training. His military service has also been delayed again. He's considering eye surgery to help him get over with a degenerative eye condition that's been a secret since the Swanson fight that he's dealing. No word yet on his return.

I only ever cared about fighters that came to fight.
Some of them were and turned out elite, but some wouldn't get a shout from Shertardom.

Mark Hunt.
Manhoef.
Oleg Taktarov.
Igor Zinoviev.
Sergei Kharitonov.

I think by nature of the philosophy to end fights, that most would be strikers. Some with little to no ground game.

Isn't this the reason he cant fight outside of Korea right now? Or rather the reason he is not allowed to leave the country?

Are you Korean? I always see you bring up zombie in threads

Doo Ho Choi is a great choice <45>

Katsunori Kikuno for me, got smoked in the UFC saddly but his fights in DEEP were great and his style is just fun to watch

Yep, at least Kikuno experienced a nice win in his hometown of Japan and had a great reception. Choi sadly lost in UFC Busan.

Holy shit, This. I remember touting him before the TUF final, that shit ended quickly. lol

I thought he was legit until roy knocked him out. He ko'd almost all the guys he fought at tuf, I was shocked when roy Nelson ko'd him and in disbelief. I always liked Schuab, he can be dumb and annoying sometimes.

Lucky punch over a dude way smaller then beat up a club fighter who was also way smaller

Got exposed by journeyman Diaz twice
Someone’s still salty Conor KO aldo in 13 secs. I guess you also think Dustin, Mendes and Eddie were trashcans
