After Paddy Piglet’s last fight and subsequent attitude afterward, fans seem to have turned their backs on him. Regardless of what he says, he lost in the court of public opinion and the only arse sucking he will receive will come from his own countrymen.
What are some other examples of fighters that quickly went from fans favorites to either being hated or forgotten.

Conor McGregor- was the man until he sucker punched ye’ old fella for refusing his arse flavored whiskey. Maybe he should have offered him the “thiccc nectar” that is Tiger Thiccc. Now, even the Irish despise him and that is a feat almost unmatched.

Luke Rockhold- had a loyal, excited fanbase coming up in Strikeforce; became champ and lost a lot of good will with his “See, believe, achieve” lecture and arrogant attitude.

Rousimar PaulHarris-
Rooted for him his entire career(I fancy Leg Locks) and despised him immediately after the Mike Pierce/ Jake Shields debacles.

Help me out with some others, Sherbros!

BJ Penn. Used to be the darling here and basically a walking deity. But then lost like his last 25 fights and has been acting like a total goof getting KO'd in the streets of Hawaii.
Not gonna lie, twinkle toes Penn that appeared in the 4th Edgar fight turned him from King to Jester in my circle. Sad day to be a “Prodigy” fan.

Bunch of soft fairweather fans in here.

Also, lol at being McRunner and Pimplett fans at any point.

Stipe?

Certainly not 'hated' the way other fighters mentioned have become, but his inactivity seems to have hurt his popularity.

He had his eye injury of course, and his father passed away late last year, but he has also been inactive even when healthy. He has only fought four times in over five years (with three of those fights being against DC), and we still don't have confirmation of the Jones fight.

If he does indeed fight Jones, I think he will have a ton of public support, even if most think Jones wins...flatlining Jones would launch him to the very top of a lot of people's 'favourite fighter' list lol
