Against Strickland, Izzy tried to land his counter check hook non stop.

Instead of getting off the fence when pressured, he stayed there and failed to land his counter hook.

Maybe he was in love with the move after it bailed him out on his last fight.

Gsp tried a bunch of times to land a headkick vs Serra in the first fight.

Trying to manifest into reality his headkick vs Hughes again.

Masvidal never got over his switch combo vs Till and his knee vs Askren.

In all fights after he tried to manifest both again.

To be clear falling in love with a move and trying to manifest it is not the same as relying on a move.

Like Conor relies on his left hand but is not trying and failing to manifest his Aldo ko non stop.

Other examples?

Adesanya hit Pereira twice with his right hand, not a counter check hook.

I don’t remember Masvidal doing the stance switch combo once after the Till fight. He could’ve done it, but it wasn’t something he kept trying over and over?

So I don’t think those are very good examples

Johnny Walker gets knocked out in cartoonish ways. Not even sure how he trains for that.

Shogun had the best finisher

Hardy's left hook?

Crocops kicks?

Wanderlei's windmill punches?

Roy Nelson fell in love with his overhand right because he was knocking guys out cold with it, but then it started to become so predictable and guys were circling away and winning decisions against him. Nelson was a totally different fighter before UFC, I saw many of his fights and he was very slick on the ground and impossible to get off once he got on top.

He did, in every fight, a few times, not too much though. Succesful against Diaz I think. Less against others. It's one of his go to moves.
Dustin also always does his switch, or Dillashaw.
Solid moves though.
I remember Dustin getting caught with it, but not terribly. Not the others though.

Bigfoot and Struve almost always fell exactly the same way when getting KO’d.

We still haven't seen the lethal finishing move Master Fabia taught Diego.
