excuse me lol. I thought giving him the 2nd was shaky but what on Earth did he do to win the 1st round?? The first half of Round 1 was the most dominant either guy looked with Figueirado's grappling. The striking exchanges in the latter half are largely uneventful, with each catching the other with one decent punch. Jackson catches Figgy coming in with a counter that gets his attention and then in the last 10-15 seconds Fig catches Jackson on the end of a pretty strong punch that backs Jackson up. Fig ends the round with Jackson backing up against the cage and connects with a pretty hard teep at the buzzer

I have no clue what the judge was watching

Yea the fight was not exciting I don't think Fig did himself any real favors with that performance. And Jackson really blew his best opportunity to date.
Very true. There was no urgency. I thought Jackson will start swinging in the last two minutes, but nah. Just content to leave it in the (often incompetent) hands of judges.

Yeah that was a garbage scorecard. Last round was dull but Figgy did more than enough to take the first 2 rounds.

Jackson froze in the headlights big time. He certainly did not win that fight by any stretch.

I actually scored the fight for Montel (unpopular opinion I know) but it was R2+R3, giving Montel R1 is crazy

R2 was basically super even low-damage exchanges until it got a bit wild at the end of the round and Montel landed a few solid power shots while Fig did badly in that late exchange, so that's why I had Montel stealing the round

Even though I think he deserved the decision, he still performed terribly. More a story of neither side doing much and Montel technically edging it out on the scorecards in my opinion

Never been a more clear cut of nationalistic scoring bias since Bisping Hamill

...
The judge you are referring to is named Fabio Alves. Can't find where he is from but sounds Brazilian doesn't it?

The one judge that scored all three rounds for Hamill was from where?
The UK

I disagree but like I said in the live thread when both guys give judges that little to go off of in round 2 and 3 you can't really complain either way it goes.

He should never be allowed to judge again. There's no possible way Montel won round 1.

That's hilarious.

Good grappling in that round but...
this judge should be banned for looking at his phone instead of the fight.
Round 1 was all Figgy.

This is why this "sport" will always be a joke.
Like putting points on skateboarding.
Makes no sense at all and impossible to score.
Just pure entertainment that can be easily corrupted for the sake of betting.
