...if you didnt know...

Felix Sturm was arrested on April 5th, at the FIBO Fitness Expo in Germany.

Why?
The German IRS is after him and they already have enough evidence against him to justify him getting arrested.

Between 2009 and 2016, Sturm was his own promoter (SBP) and was banking in around 2million$ a fight.
They say just a small amount of this was taxed to the goverment and the rest was transfered to some financial company in switzerland...and then transfered back to his Promotion...

Meanwhile, Sturm moved from Germany back to his homecountry of Bosnia...with wife and kids...
With that move...he is not reachable for the german law enforcement.

But when he appeared the FIBO...they weren't playing around and arrested him right there...

He is not allowed to be bailed out...because of the risk of him just fleeing back to Bosnia.

Also, he has not been found guilty yet.
But...as already said...they got enough evidence so far...that it looks like he will be found guilty, instead of the other way around...

On top of that...they are now getting ready for his doping case, again.

So far this happened...
In 2016, Sturm defeated Fedor Chudinov by way decision, becoming a two-weight world champion.Later after the fight, the doping samples that were taken from Sturm before the fight were suddenly challenged, however, the sample documents were not complete, as the location, time of arrival was not documented. Due to this inaccuracy, Sturm was not stripped of his titles. He then relocated to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Doping allegations
He broke the silence two months later with a post which he shared via Instagram where he complained about being treated unfairly by the doping investigators. Sturm wrote that he was only informed two months after the first doping sample about the results and that he wasn't told why it took longer than usual (two weeks). After engaging a lawyer who requested all the required documents from the investigators he noticed that the last page was missing, "...where is written, when my sample arrived at the laboratory, who received it and who analysed the sample.", it was written in that social media post. He allegedly didn't get an answer after submitting further inquiries and was denied the right to let the b-sample be analysed by another laboratory. Sturm claimed that the WBA refrained from suspending him because of these irregularities.

...so he might also be facing a trail against him for battery...

...if you want some sources i can post them...but those are in German...so good luck reading that ;)

obviously tax evasion is bad and everyone has to pay taxes, so not doing it is unfair to others

but i really don’t feel bad for the government here. felix just wanted to keep the money he earned.

So you consider it unfair, but you approve it at the same time.

LOL

I really liked Felix Sturm in the early 2000s.
He had a great fight against DLH and was robbed.

But then he bought the super WBA belt fought only bums, avoided Abraham and GGG, making good money together with his TV Partner SAT1.
You had to KO him to get a decision win and the comentary in german TV was always so one sided and wrong that I could not watch his fights any more. Axel Schulz claims he lost his job as a comentator because he was talking too negative about Sturm.
Then also Doping accusations ...

If he did avoid taxes illegally, I hope they get every penny back and more.

Daniel Gaele, Sam Soliman 2x and Fjodor managed to get a decision victory in germany...

...i have to say...that is (sadly) allmost impossible to do...

I maybe did exagreate a little bit.
There are rumors that he did not pay the money he was due, thats why he lost the geale fight.
The fight was pretty close wouldnt even have been an upset if he had won. Which is quite strange for a fight with a "german" fighter in Germany.
The soliman fight was too clear to give it to Sturm, but yea he did not need the knockout.
The first Fjodor fight had one judge score it 118-110 for Fjodor and one with 116-112 for Sturm ... wasnt enough to bribe one judge it seems .. :) And he won the second one, which was bad scoring in my opinion (and doping?).

This is just my biased opinion, I know most is not proven, just wanted to vent about Sturm, who I really liked early in his career, and German scoring in general.

Yep, the judging in Germany is horrible...

@Buffmeister so what is the truth about the Abraham/Sturm fight not materialising. It would have been a massive fight at the time and by massive I mean probably enough to fill a football stadium. I know they were on different TV networks but what is your feeling about the fighters themselfs. Abraham seems to not have been afraid as his move to 168 proves just that. But both in their primes at 160 I would pick Sturm.

Should have stayed in Bosnia.
<WellThere>
It's like, dude you left for a reason...why do you think Huns would forget?

Yeah, those lazy assed roads and bridges need to man up and get jobs like the rest of us. All they do is lay around getting fucked up and filthy, meanwhile we have to give our hard earned money to keep them healthy.

Roads, police and education are mostly paid for at a state and local level

Fuck it I'm glad he didn't molest or kill anyone I hate seeing boxers involved in madness. Taxes? So what

Pick a side, right or wrong?
Greed is the downfall of many and rightfully so.

A Sturm x Abraham fight would definetly sold a lot of Tickets and put butts in the couches at home...
But it wouldnt be Klitschko like numbers...

....example:
Klitschko
(vs. Pianeta): 8,31 Mil.
(vs. Povetkin): 11,02 Mil.
(vs. Leapai): 8,21 Mil.
(vs. Pulev): 9,16 Mil.
(vs. Fury): 8,91 Mil.

Abraham
(vs. Murray): 3.45 Mil.

Sturm
(vs. Fjodor2) 2.82 Mil.

...consider germany has a population of around 82million...around 83 if you include all the refugees that came in the last 2 years...

As you pointed out...the different TV stations might be the biggest factor why they never fought...
But now, boxing is allmost not existing on german TV...at least not anymore on the big TV stations...
The big days of huge crowds and TV ratings are over since the KlitBros left...and other guys who pulled huge numbers like Henry Maske, Axel Schulz, Tiger Michalczevski...are retired for a long time, now.
Abraham just realesed a press statement, that he hopes nothing but the best for Felix in his current situation....and when its all done, he wants to face him in the ring...

I dont really think Sturm will face jail time...at least not a long term...they will probably figure out a deal and Sturm will probably take a fight to make money, to pay the taxes back...and a Abraham fight might be the biggest deal he can make.
With him, being the side in need for money, he probably wont be the one who has a lot say in negoations...?

I would pick Sturm too, in a prime vs prime fight...
If a guy can box and knows how to move...thats where Abraham doesnt shine in fights...

...why i think they will come to an agreement between the State and Sturm?
Well, the former and now again present president of the football Club Bayern München...Uli Höneß owend the State around 28mil in taxes!!...he got 3,5 years in the softest prison you can get and after like 6 months he was allowed to go back to work on a daily basis...and got transfered to another institution, where you basicly just sleep there...go to work...and come back to sleep
