What's the best way to wrap my feet for MMA?
I train combat sambo so i happily kick and jump with my sambo boots.
But i've got my first pro mma fight coming up tomorrow (30th), and i'm not allowed to wear my sambovki. Wrapping the feet is allowed.

I'd fight with no wrapping at all, but i've got a nasty cut/hole in my right foot.
During a takedown i turned on the ball of my foot so fast that essentially, the skin peeled off and you could see RED FLESH with lots of bleeding and whatnot. It's recovering and not so bad right now, but the gauze/tape is a must.

Problem is, if i just wear the gauze/bandage/tape for the gash on my right foot, my opponent will notice that i'm injuried, and that's not a good thing, since he's primarily a striker.

So, i need to wrap my feet properly. And i'll disguise the stuff for the injury with the normal wrap, but my feet-wrapping experience is limited to taping injuried toes to one another and ankle wraps for treatment of injuries. Should i be wearing a combination of both?

I searched the net and youtube and i only came up with some lady taping the "feet" of her dog, so any input would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Let that thing air out. If you can put alcohol on it to dry it out. Put it on a bandage and let it sit on it. It will sting like a bitch for a while.

I do these things called www.footpaws.com. They are invisible coverings that you put on your feet. They add to traction and protect blisters. They are flesh colored so unless you are purple, you can get them. Maybe they can FedEx you a pair out. They are $35.

I don't have much about taping your feet because I could never get tape to stay but do you have the link about taping dog feet? I need to learn that.

The wound is drying out, i've taken good care of it. I only wrap it up when i train or walk, but when i'm stationary, i clean it up, air it, andwear some patches to help the skin regenerate.
I'll search for those footpaws around here, because i won't get them on time via FedEx.

And as for the wrapping the dog's feet... i don't have the link, but if you search in youtube "feet wrapping", it's the first result that comes up.
If i had hooves, i'd wrap them like they do on that video.

I know the people at that company. They can get them to you in the US you just got to pay.

There are blister pads, mole skin and something runners use called QuickStick.

There is also duct tape.

LOL duct tape.

No, use gauze like normal. Pro fight, right? I think they'd only allow a gauze wrap or an ankle guard. Do both feet so your right doesn't stick out. Plus, it'll help with the traction.

I'm not in the USA.

Gauze is allowed. Tape (incluiding the almighty Duct Tape) is allowed, but no more than two wraps around a toe or around the same "area" of the foot/ankle.

However... the question still is...
How the hell do i properly wrap my feet?
I surely could get them wrapped and taped so that they look kind of muay-thai'ish. But just like you NEED to learn how to apply a proper hand wrap, you also NEED to learn to apply a proper foot wrap. And i don't want to go and wrap them mummy style just because. If i'm wrapping them i should do it the proper way.

I understand that some of the very basic stuff from a proper handwrap should also apply to wrapping a foot; protecting the minor joints and muscles, compression without cutting circulation, restrict mobility in the "wrong" directions while not restricting mobility in the "right" directions, etc.

So nobody wraps their feet around here? (Damn bare footed barbarians!!!)

You got the right idea. It's pretty simple. Just wrap around the ankles and foot, and in an "X pattern" (just like a handwrap going around the wrist and knuckle) around for support.
