Fedor in my eyes will always be the goat and my favorite fighter, and the reason I watch mma.
I am proud of him and I hope that everyone can appreciate not only his fights, but everything he did for mixed martial arts.

I think people maybe hoped he was still near peak in his early comeback given that he did look good in his last few wins before his layoff but really given that he obviously wasnt I think it was ultimately a good run, won all the fights against guys of his own generation with some nasty finishes.

I wish he came to ufc, fought couture, fought Brock, and stuff. The fall from grace is gross. Father time is savage.

One of the greats no matter what... Sad to see him go with a loss and dominated the way he was but for a guy close to his 50s it was a great run...

TLDR.
NOT incredible.
Like seriously, NOT incredible.
But he did beat the guy who used to have a really cool mustache.
And he did beat an old Chael Sonnen at HW. I mean, if you think beating a MW at heavyweight is incredible, then we probably have different definitions of the word incredible.
So basically, we are ALL incredible.
Including you.
You are quite incredible.

I'm just throwing this random post in one of these threads to acknowledge that I love that there are more Fedor threads in teh Heavies this morning than threads actually about anything UFC related.

Keep up the good work, buds.

Honestly, 6-3 isn't even that bad. Pretty much the record of the typical top HWs these days. Especially since his run was from his late 30s to 46 years old. Added some big names to his resume as well.

That Maldonado fight result was very questionable.

I’m honestly surprised we haven’t seen a submission win from Fedor in ages, I think the last time was Tim Sylvia? Jesus.

Yeah, it seems he abandoned that aspect all together and became a one-trick-pony power puncher.

If you looked at all the subs he got, they were mostly against guys with bad sub defense. Ogawa was legit - but over time the white belt armbar opportunities went away.
