Hi, I need a pair of gloves for bag, pad....
I read on this forum that the Fairtex BGV 9 is a good gloves for bag work (not recommended for sparring?), but is very expensive compared to Twins BGVL 3.
What are the pros of the BGV 9 compared to the Twins? (apart to the length of the wrist)
The foam padding on the knuckles of the Fairtex is more hardly than the Twins?
They have the same comfort on the bag? Or the hardness of the Fairtex is most comfortable for the hand and feel less the punches in the fist?

the Fairtex BGV-1's (Thai style training glove) or BGV-4's (Pro style training glove) and the Twins BGVL-3's are what you should be comparing, the BGV-9's are a mexican style hook and loop glove, they have a dual layered high density padding, not neccesarily going to feel less of the punches I'd say,

Twins BGVL 3's:
*Better for Clinchwork
*you can spar with them
*softer padding if you prefer that

BGV-9's
*better wrist support
*high density padding for going apeshit on the heavy bag (won't change over a long period of time/flatten on the heavybag)
*grip bar, though I have seen some twins gloves with grip bars

One is a mexican style and one is a Thai style training glove, I prefer twins for sparring and hitting the thai pads, and Fairtex for focus mitts and hitting the heavy bag, the Fairtex tight hand compartment might help protect your hands, but Twin's gloves are just so comfortable!

I have the Twins TBGL 3H for bag work, pad..., with 1'' of foam padding on the knuckles. I want upgrade they, because I want more protection for my hand and my knuckles.
How inch is the padding on the knuckles of the Fairtex BGV-9 and the Twins BGVL-3 16oz?

I have the bgv9's and they are they best gloves I have ever owned. I also own windy twins and csi gloves.

How oz is your bgv9?
and how inch is the padding on the knuckles?

Hi, I need a pair of gloves for bag, pad....

I have the twins 16oz gloves -great sparring gloves ;but, feel they are too soft for the heavy bag and don't offer enough support ,my wrist tends to twist too much,so I purchased Top Kings as a training glove and they are a great heavy bag and training glove ;but,in my opinion not as good for sparring as the Twins.

Their are some great gloves out their such as Fairtex, hayabusa etc ,but I wouldn't recommend 16oz Twins gloves as a bag glove,I also have 12oz Twins and for this purpose they are excellent.

Trust this helps

Why the BGV-4? They're just a wider version of the BGV-1s...
