Facebook is determined to bring Facebook to less friendly parts of the world "Cellphone carriers". So much so they are talking to a company that developed a new type of drone. These drones are unique because they can fly up to five years at a time. They must be very high altitude drones to avoid or somewhat difficult to shoot down. The company called Titan Aerospace based in New Mexico has been developing the drone and is in talks to be acquired by Facebook for 60 million dollars.

When AI is sufficiently advanced and money and resources become the only barrier to military power, then we might see corporations become the only power left. A world where your company is your job, your nation and your last line of defence. I'd be more worried about Google though, the leadership seem more ambitious and smart than the Facebook leadership.

IF you're a delivery driver it might be time to start learning either hardware maintenance or software programming for the drones. I suppose at first the drones will deposit at drop-off points and conventional delivery drivers will still be required. But... not long.
