So, it's still up, but on the street fighting forum, I came across the most disgusting video I have ever came across on Sherdog, if not the entire internet, where a guy was intentionally trying to gouge the other guy's eyes out after mounting him. That was the most disturbing shit I've seen around here.

I think I'm legit traumatized from having watched that, I mean why would anyone think it's even remotely okay to post something like that here, I don't know but, it got me wondering, as a BJJ practitioner, when a guy has like good 100 pounds on you, and he got a mount and knee on belly, and you just can't escape because he's just so much stronger than you, what do you do?

I tried googling and Youtube, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot about eye gouge defense, especially from the bottom. I mean there was this guy showing how important the posture/positioning is for that, but I mean that's as obvious as saying sky is blue, and doesn't seem to help much.

So what to do guys, when a guy with 100 pounds on you is trying to gouge your eyes intentionally after mounting you or knee on belly?

Any time a person who is mounted on you goes to do anything with their hand, whether it's gouge your eyes in a street fight, punch you in an MMA match, or grab you in a jitz roll, basic defense is to plant the back of your head & one foot, and bridge hard to the side of the hand he's using.

At best this will catch him off balance & roll him over completely, at worst it will make him have to plant that hand for base, rather than whatever he was just about to do with it.

Good post! Basic but solid advice.

I guess problem is if u can't buck him with that though, and if a guy got 100 pounds on you, it can be very difficult, or if he just keeps trying to gouge your eye(s) out.

ive had somone try to gouge my eye but i was on top of him, you just close your eye

Some big ugly psychotic people that don't like my sometime make aggressive moves toward me.

A person who was released from prison and is known to carry knives sometimes targets me.

I am a sweet and gentle individual.

If they ever put hands on me, the first thing I intend to do is gouge their eyes.

........

What happened in the video you watched, did the victim get blinded?

I'm not sure what the first part is supposed to mean lol kinda confusing not sure what u are talking about, lol, you have big psychotic people targeting you sometimes including people with knifes fresh outta jail? Not really sure if you are just making shit up or real lol, if real, DeepFry by Armbar and RHK Ko at the same time! Hands off biatches!

I really do hope he wasn't, but he was saying he couldn't see, but it's hard to say, and I really, really do hope that was temporary...It was pretty traumatizing to watch imo, just thinking about it to answer....

lol not sure if serious but i don't think that's how it works, especially with big dudes with strong grips lol

How do we defend against eye gouge, holy sensei?

"Just close your eyes" "Believe"
would like to say its not a true story and that not the proper defense, but as a wise man once said it is what it is

Could you link te video?

Keep moving your head, cover your eyes, try to control his hands, bridge.

Mix those up and it will be suprisingly difficult to properly eye gouge with power without slipping away.
