for those that dont know. Jerry Falwell is the son of notorious televangelist Jerry Falwell. Arpaio is the birther sheriff from Arizona who swears he has the proof Obama is not a US citizen. John Rocker is the former MLB player notorious for comments on gays, foreigners, and pretty much hating New York overall. The man who inspired the Kenny Powers character.

So the son of a televangelist, a baseball player and a sheriff now endorses Trump and the election is over?

What makes them so special?

Sounds like a group of winners.

I almost feel like you may be using sarcasm.......I'll have to investigate this more.

I think its over, for sure if he wins Iowa in a few days

I'd hold off the celebrations if I was you. The last 2 GOP winners in Iowa were Mike Huckabee & Rick Santorum. Iowa was pretty out of touch the last 2 elections.

Whose endorsement meets your standards?

I would personally look more towards diplomats, academics, and previous leaders and politicians. More importantly, I would prefer to be denounced by this group than endorsed.

Seriously though, has a political endorsement ever persuaded anyone? It's like how people say that political ads have no effect on them, but candidates still spend a fortune on them anyway.

That's true, but neither of those guys had a chance in N.H. Trump is likely winning that and has a pretty nice lead in most other state polls. He wins the early stuff and he's gonna steam roll through the primary.

Historically, endorsements haven't counted for much. On top of that, I think most people who listen to Falwell and Arpaio were probably in the tank for Trump to begin with.

Who are some of those people and who do they endorse? Personally I couldn't give two shits about some academic's assessment of qualifications for an administrative position. Politicians have dubious motives. Diplomats I'd listen to.
