It’s official! ELBOWS ARE NOW LEGAL! | “Slowly we have evolved the original KC rules with guidance of @basruttenmma @georgesstpierre and the approval of the KC Token holders. Elbows are something I’ve wanted to put to a vote since I began my position here at KC, but there were very obvious changes that needed to be made first such as the thigh kicks. Now we have punches, kicks, knees, elbows, slams and ground & pound. NO SUBMISSIONS and NO HOLDING. I truly feel the ruleset of KC makes it the most dynamic striking sport in the world! Yeah, it seems like that’s the rivalry now — ONE vs. Karate Combat. I wonder if Karate Combat tries to pick up some of the unpleased talent from ONE.

That will be hard as ONE's contracts are iron-clad. But they should go after MT stars that ONE couldn't get.

It’s always something extra with them with hopes of going viral. I get it, but it’s kinda exhausting.

not most of the newer style karate, and usually not in competition during actual fighting. Kata/bunkai still has it.
older karate was a full martial art, with elbows, joint locks, ground game etc.
