I'm decently high on Yusuff, he looked great in a losing effort against Allen and has only looked more and more improved every time out. If he was more consistent I think he'd be floating around the top with Allen, not as much power but he seems more technical.
I think Yusuff has the skill level to get his boxing going and cut the angles not allowing Barboza to keep it at his preferred kicking range... something he's already struggled with at FW. With those struggles for kicking Barboza's size and new found aggression has been making him a lot more violent and dangerous as shown by his murders of Burgos and Billy Q. So while I think the speed and timing of Yusuff will provide a ton of issues the power and killer aggression mixed with the fight IQ by Barboza has him as live dog in this fight. All of this is said with the hope Barboza has a good weight cut. If he looks like he did against Billy Q there is no way he's timing a knee on a guy the caliber of Yusuff... I've been ranting and raving but Barboza should move back up to LW because he's still mentally sharp as evident but his body looks like it's in shambles with these last few cuts.


Even though my heart doesn't want it I'm predicting Barboza to have another rough cut and get finished. If he does looks like he did against Burgos I think this goes decision since Barboza has enough power to not get bullied but unless Barboza lands a crazy haymaker Yusuff should win this comfortably.

Exactly my thoughts too. How much has he left in the tank? Especially nowadays when he's cutting more weight too.
