Just wondering if any sherdoggers train out of Edmonton Alberta? I moved from Ontario to Alberta a year and a half ago, and haven't trained since I have lived here. I used to train out of Kombat Arts in Mississauga, Ontario, which was an awesome gym. Looking to get back into it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hayabusa in St. Albert is apparently legit. There's a small gym on the south side called impakt mma as well.

Slightly off topic but Bowman's in Fort Mac is a pretty good gym.

I've never been to Hayabusa but they are a legit gym as far as I have heard.

Edmonton, the land of mullets, 77 Firebirds, sweatpants and sweaty cheeseburger filled BJJ classes.

Legends Training Center.

Lots of space, lots of ammy and pro fighters. Nice people trained there until I got my new job (12-8:30pm).

Mullets are sadly outlawed these days (although I'm thinking of saying fuck that and growing mine back), other than a friend of my dad's and my uncle I don't know anyone who has a Firebird (I want one though), rarely, even in Wal-Mart, do I see sweatpants and yes we do love are burgers. A min or two from Legends there is a Fatburger, Harvey's, Dairy Queen and Wendy's.

Edmonton has way more to do than Mississauga. I've lived in both. Most do not know how rapidly Edmonton and in particular the downtown, is changing. Bars, restaurants nightlife, all on the huge upswing with all the money there.

Legends MMA
Hayabusa
Complete Fitness
Frank Lee's
Avenue Boxing
Kamikaze Punishment
The Fire martial arts

There some pretty awesome local talent Luke Harris, Ryan Jimmo, Mitch Clark, Shane Campell, Sheldon Westcott, Andrew McInnes & Ryan Mcgillivray

Born in Mississauga and lived in Brampton for 25 years. Edmonton is where it's at if you work in the skilled trades though.s

Hey guys I am heading to Edmonton soon as well.
I've got quite a few questions as well.
Can you guys tell me which gyms have the most active pro and ams?
I know kamikaze punishment has a team but they are almost all little guys,
what team has the most 185ers?
Also which teams have in house black belts?
I see some saying black belt jiu-jitsu but have no instructor profiles which i'm wary of.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks
