upload_2017-5-9_15-28-29.png Who you guys see winning ? Im thinking Dustin hard punches and tenaciousness could be to much for Eddies war torn chin but i could see Eddie winning as well. Who you guys got winning and why ?

Back when I thought I knew who Eddie Alvarez was...I would pick Eddie.

But now I know who Eddie Alvarez is.....and I'm picking Dustin.

Dustin Poirier was pushed to the brink by fucking Jim Miller. If Alvarez is still the same, this should be a UD for him.

still undecided, as i was when they first announced this fight.

too bad it's not a 5 round fight- i think with only 3 rounds it goes to decision.

Dustin hurts Eddie, gets wild as fuck, and then gets put out.

Pretty much your usual Alvarez fight.

Two chinny brawlers.

On paper looks like a great fight, BUT I think this fight has the potential to be a dud imo.

They're two fighters who get drawn into brawls but don't have the chin to match their style. They could both very well take an over cautious approach with a low output/grappling heavy gameplan for this fight.

That being said I'm taking Eddie via Split Decision because he usually gets gifted SD's automatically lol.

He didn't fight near his best in that fight, he started brawling again. Not really fair to look past all of his victories in the UFC and mention that fight. Watch the recent Joe Duffy fight, and if you know Joe Duffy then you'll know how impressive that was. Dustin has some serious skills, good technique and throws down most of the time, all things you have to love. He has always been touted by people at ATT as good enough to be world champion and whilst I think he would have a hard time against Conor, Khabib and Tony (those 3 are on another level to the rest of the division) I think he is good enough to TKO Eddie and believe he will do so. Not surprised either way but don't discount him. I will say one foreseeable problem for Dustin is his poor defense which has always put him in danger and will put him in danger of a knockout from Eddie. Vice-versa Eddie's beaten up chin might show signs of wear and tear and might fall victim to Poirier's KO power. It's simply time for Dustin to put in the sort of performances he has put up against guys outside the top 10 against guys in the top 10.

Kinda want Eddie to pull through, Im an old fan of his, never really cared too much for Dustin
