I'm one of those people. I hate football. I think it is stupid and boring sport. But I feel that way about pretty much every team sports out there.
If a whole team was to roast to death in a firey bus crash, I'd not lose a sleep at all.

The sports I like are all individual-- MMA, boxing, tennis, motorsports, etc

I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl. I'd say most of my friends will watch, but I'm watching Colombian soccer instead. I actually enjoy watching soccer, so I don't see why I should watch something I don't enjoy instead. It's not a big deal for me. I don't even know why people look forward to the commercials anymore. They are all on youtube. Watch them all at once and save 3hrs.

Pretty silly to say when football/soccer incites storming the pitch and fan riots semi-regularly on pretty much every continent the sport is played on.
