Everyone gives him credit for having a great chin, but there's an obvious & glaring tell-tale sign that he's been rocked when he completely stops striking.
It seems like when he gets rocked a few times, he stops throwing and just starts dancing around the cage.
He's done this in his past 5 fights, with the exception of the Brendan Allen fight.
I think the first time I really noticed this was when he fought Costa.

It seems like people are so mystified by Vettori's steel chin, that they completely forget how he's not throwing any strikes.
Have you noticed this too?

Him not throwing doesnt invalidate his chin

He also froze up when asked to pose for a UFC photoshoot

Everyone has noticed he doesn't throw and he lacks power but none of that takes away his iron chin, it will get cracked one day and I believe Rob could have stopped him had he gone after him harder when he rocked him.

Imo he lost that costs fight and I was rooting for him bc of the bs costa pulled but he for sure stopped throwing and should have lost.

Maybe his W over Costa where he out-gritted him over 5 rounds?
The fact that you're asking that in the form of a question and it's a grinding performance pretty much validates my point. That's the best win of his career no doubt, but hardly a mind-blowing performance. When's the last time Vettori actually finished a fight?

He's just not that good. When has he ever had a performance that blew people away?
His style aint pretty to look at, but I still thought his fight w Costa showed alot of heart

I think he's trained at too many places at this point and doesn't seem to know how he wants to approach a fight anymore

He used to have the legit skillset and be a somewhat of a contender - back when he relied on his wrestling. At some point he decided to become a striker and his game fell apart completely. His decline in some way reminds of Rashad Evans', who was obviously more skilled

He fought 30 fights and knocked out 2 people. Maybe he could try to be more of a grappler ? He keeps it standing and doesn´t have much talent there, compared to other UFC level fighters. Perhaps wrestle ?

Shoulda went to Dagestan and learned how to chain wrestle.
