- never been scratched, much less lost
- had immense pressure in the McGregor fight with the entire company and ref against him and still destroyed him
- Destroyed Poirier under sweltering, slippery conditions that favor the striker in a 120 degree tent that did not have properly working air conditioning, in front of his father for the first time in several years no less.
- Destroyed Gaethje, who was supposedly born to this earth with the skillset to defeat him, months after the death of his father with the pressure of a tribute to all of his fathers hard work.

Always pushed the pace, undefeated, undisputed

Alhamdulillah

If he had the strongest mindset he would've stuck around for more title defenses, because that's the biggest / hardest obstacle for the elite of the elite in MMA.

Fighting nothing but contenders, in 5 rounders, usually main or co main event with much more public attention, more pressure, etc.

Honestly I'm not surprised he retired early, the way he's killing himself to make LW, something he can barely do twice a year, could be very dangerous for his health.

I mean the guy was experiencing seizures for his weight cut against Conor, his most high profile fight where he must have been taking it super seriously with the best professional help to help him make weight.

AAAAAAAAA SHARAAAAAAPPPPP

I don't know if he has the strongest heart. He has the best overall skillset at 155 for sure but we've never really seen him have to battle back from adversity to win a fight.

It's easy to be dominant when you outclass the opponent but when your bell is wrung or you are tired and beaten, finishing and winning take a different kind of heart. Look at GSP Hendricks for example. GSP won that fight because of the 5th round after he took a serious drubbing.

One of sure also has a iron chin and seems to not feel pain. He took like 10 leg kicks from justin. didnt even flinch and still subbed him and won and then you see conrat going off with crutches after a few kicks from dustin.

Yeah Khabib is probably the most mentally tough champ we had. He had an insane amount of pressure on him vs McGregor. We never seen McGregor try to bully anyone as bad as he tried with Khabib. It was really some next level stuff that went too far. People are underestimating how much pressure he had in that fight and he did perform.

He’s a tough tough dude, mentally and physically that’s for sure but there have been champs who have had to display more heart than khabib has so I’d say no based on what we have seen. Which is in all honesty a testament to khabibs skill.

He has the strongest heart of anyone who can make weight for 155.

I can't measure his heart past that because he's unwilling to move up in weight.

Impossible to say. We might have gotten to see how much heart he has if he wasn't so damn good. Completely dominating fighters like he did was not a display of heart or mental toughness. It was a display of skill and greatness.

Now, one can argue to acquire such skills would take incredible heart and I would not disagree, we just have not seen it on display in the cage very often.

Khabibs mental strength and heart is unbelievable, amongst many of his his other attributes, but if you look across the UFC's current champions, the mindset and heart of all of them is extremely reinforced. Its an impressive champion roster right now in the history of the sport.

Figgy should be up there too, that war with moreno was insane. Much more competitive than any of khabibs fights . Also adesanya has been in a couple of wars and one doesn't fight 100 kickboxing matches without a strong mindset and heart

I think it’s impossible to evaluate a fighter’s heart and mindset until you see him getting his ass kicked.

It isn’t Khabib’s fault that he’s so dominant, but heart simply isn’t something he’s been required to demonstrate. When I think of heart I think of Poirier hobbling back to his corner after the third against Justin, then coming back out, planting that busted leg and throwing bombs until he got the finish. Whittaker getting off the deck against Romero and still winning rounds. Randy getting his arm broken by Gonzaga and still kicking his ass. (I forgot Colby, who fought and even won rounds against Usman with a broken jaw). Khabib hasn’t faced that kind of adversity.

Mindset we can at least discuss. Khabib did well not to choke under the Conor pressure the way Aldo and Eddie did. I’m sure much of that confidence comes from knowing he has unstoppable grappling, but still, he did well.

I would say.....

Mindset: good
Heart: unknown

Good call. Adesanya’s fifth round performance against Kelvin was exceptional. He’d eaten some bombs and still kept his head and got it done.

Hard to say, he never was in deep trouble, other than maybe Poirier's guillotine, he never got tested really. You know who got heart when they get into bloodbaths ( Barboza, Kattar, Hooker, Poirier )

He has been clipped a few times but always just weathers the storm and moves along with his gameplan. Can not recall a time when he was in a 'Aw Shit' moment.

Yeah look at how many leg kicks he ate from Gaethje scariest leg kicker in the UFC. Then look at conor lmao. A couple kicks and he basically quits.
