Lots of non Spanish speaking Hispanic guys with thicker accents like that. It's not actually a foreign accent it's regional type of American accent. In boxing I know vergil Ortiz, bam Rodriguez, and barrios who's boxing Pacquiao right now all have accents like that and none of them speak Spanish
