Do you think this guy deserved it or do you feel sorry for him?

The whole idea that someone deserves something is a just a figment of the human imagination. The whole premise is based on what was seen in someone's behavior. Never mind all things that weren't seen that might absolutely disqualify them from deserving said thing. Nobody deserves anything but here we are breathing, drinking, eating, reproducing, and making a whole lot of fuss about it too.
I certainly don't know if there's such a thing as karma, seems no rhyme or reason to peoples fortunes/misfortunes. I've known good people that just dealt with nothing but tragedy and vice versa. Sometimes it also seems karma get's it right. One thing i do know and always tell people, be good or try to at least, when you're down and out, the last thing you want to see is people laughing at you and I've seen a couple millionaires end up with nothing.

I'm thinking most trails aren't for motorized bikes in my area. I know it's different everywhere, people will ride for wheels all over the place. One of my cousins pointed out how in the desert she lived in there were still ruts of wagons from pioneers going to california but that the four wheelers were out there wiping them out.

Dangerous way to play, i know a guy, total nerd, physically inept and he got on a four wheeler and broke his should and ribs, in his fifties. I told him he was lucky that's all that happened.

I don’t believe in karma in a religious sense, more in a functional sense. People and a lot of animals have a sense of fairness. You fuck over enough people, when or if your day comes, no one is gonna be there to support you.

Yeah. I did a stint in the ER for a few months and 99% of the pediatric traumas that came in were from mopeds and ATV’s. I saw some pretty nasty shit with those.

that definitely has truth to it, you go through life abusing and cheating people they will at the very least be indifferent to your misfortunes. Now, i'm not saying that if you're kind people will support you, they won't most likely but they will definitely most likely not celebrate.

Some people I've known, they just can't get the logic behind them burning every bridge and seeing how that will leave them totally isolated. It sucks because I'm good hearted and when they die or settup a go fund me it makes me sick but I also know the story.

these days, in my town, we have the scooters that go 25-30 mph and no one needs a license or a helmet, just plain retarded. I always tell my people, "the government doesn't give two shits about you" and just now are the trucking cdl's and licenses coming under some kinds of scrutiny. Just craziness, doing delivery for the last 8 years I pray all the time and have been just very lucky not to end up in some wreck, it helps that I often drive like an old lady which people chide me about.

we had a guy crash a motorcycle into a couple not long ago, injured the husband, killed the wife. On tape, he tried to hide but they got him, i think he was some sort of repeat offender. From the footage of the crash it looks like he just wasn't paying attention, tried to cut past a car at an intersection and rand right into a couple against the light. But.., I drive a lot and I see stupid shit everyday from everyone, drivers, pedestrians, motorcyclists, bicyclists.

The finger thing, I saw that a couple months ago, on the highway, motorcyclist was going way too fast, i'd estimate well over 80 and trying to whiz past a guy in front of him who abruptly changed lanes, most likely (like this guy) just not seeing him and the motorcyclist gave the finger. For whatever reason, the less protection commuters have, the more brazen and bold they are. Motorcyclists and bicyclists get way closer than they need to and if anything happens they want pity. It's not always easy to see these guys and they make it worse by rushing and zipping around. It's not even possible to see cars sometimes in my particular make with a couple odd blind spots and then driving on unfamiliar roads or maybe with confusing construction situations, it's crazy out there.

The way the biker was pleading tells me he probably had been in this situation before and knew he'd be in trouble if the cops got involved. Actually, the driver in front didn't seem to see him at all.

Yeah I don't get it either. If they want to go on a desolate road / highway risking their own lives only, have fun. It's when they injure other people because of their reckless shit that makes me want them to suffer. If that guy turns a half second later maybe the bike drills his driver side door and causes injuries or death like the couple you referenced.

What are the odds he gives a fake #? Who knows, but I agree with you seems like it's not his 1st time doing dumb shit.

I wholeheartedly disagree. 100% disagreed.

This guy deserves 1 year jail. He could crush into someones child or mum.

Stupid idiot. (Him not you).

The whole thing is so subjective, that's what you think he deserves. Someone else thinks he deserves a beat down. Apparently what people mean by what someone "deserves" is what they would really to have happen to said person.

Do you deserve your salary after a month of work ? Does one deserve punishment for comiting a crime ?

Deserved.

I ride motorcycles and regular bikes and I hate most bikers. They are some of the worst people on the streets and whine when people hold them accountable. One of the many reasons I avoid group rides most of the time and NEVER ride with strangers.

I am acquainted with a giuy who used to race in Russian motorbike circuit championship and did alright (finished multiple years in the middle of the championship table).
He never rides like that in the streets, he races only on the circuit.
Only idiots with little real skill and huge overinflated egos ride like that.

That was way too deep for a thread about a motorcycle accident

Wow, when keeping it real gets real!
