Or is he officially retired?

He might comeback for a fight with Poatan, I just can't see anyone else.

He's at the point in his career where a fight has to excite him. Some may choose to interpret that as a simple risk/reward proposition, Which it ultimately may be. I feel for Jones it's not as much about the money because he'll always be the a side it's more about the name on his resume

He might come back and beat up a much older smaller guy. It’s his speciality
Not his fault he became champion at like 23, and the best guys at the time were in their 30s. Only fight he didn’t take in over 15 years was Aspinall, which clearly wasn’t necessary.

I agree it looks terrible, but I think Jon was so sick of being a champion and thinks so highly of himself (deservedly) that he thought Tom wasn’t worth his time. Which Tom proved in his last fight.

He kinda sound like a pain medication… “Do you have eye pain? Ask your doctor if Aspinall is right for you.”

He ducked Rumble and Aspinall. Everytime time he fought a guy his own size and age he got pushed to the brink, Gus, Reyes, Santos to an extent.

He actually lost the fight to Reyes but the judges gifted him a win. Go back and watch the fight

Did he avoid Rumble or did he get in trouble? I legitimately can’t remember.

Reyes didn’t hurt him once and lost the last 2 big. With championship bias, that’s enough. IIRC at least 2 of the first 3 were close. He definitely wasn’t soundly beaten.

He literally got an event canceled because hendo got hurt and he wouldn’t fight sonnen on short notice. I also can’t state this as fact but I believe he ducked Francis. Sure looked like it to me and many others

Not a jones guy but I scored Reyes and Gus for him. He won the last 2 rounds of both fights. Champ rounds. He’s ducked and he’s clucked and he’s used peds but he hasn’t lost a fight imo

someone should check his wife from time to time so we know if he is starting a training camp or not

I don't think we will se him fight again, but we will hear from this faithful man of God in the news from all the coming crimes he will commit.

That’s how he got the title in the first place. Rashad pulled on with an “injury” and Shogun was already training for Rashad for a while. Not saying he would’ve won, but these are the games that get played.

I could see him wanting to say no to that when he was preparing for shuffleshuffle H-bomb and got a power double specialist instead… not that he would’ve had any trouble, but I think he takes his career and record very seriously. I don’t agree with it and it’s bad for the sport, but when you have so much to lose, it’s gonna happen. You’re right though.

Reyes won the fight. 100%

It’s not up for debate.

You and many others are haters. End of. There was never a timeline for jon to fight Francis, jon beat reyes BEFORE ngannou even had the belt.

I don't know.

If the UFC does crack down on eye pokes, I'm not sure Jon would see a path to victory.

Hopefully not. He's boring in & out the cage. Maybe he'll get the jail time he deserves and can start Undisputed 6

Paramount isn't going to risk having a Raquel Pennington Main Event because Dana made Jon vs Tom for the 4th time and it once again fell through...

Yes I think he is main event of UFC White House card and it will be against Alex. Don't listen to Dana, compulsive liar and its also part of the negation tactic. I believe its already been planned behind scenes with Jones.
