I do, just don't have the time to watch all these films. There so many in the top 500 IMDB films I still have to watch.

So I definitely avoid watching these movies.

The link below are movies rated 5 or lower.

I don't watch them directly, but I do enjoy the genre of youtubers watching shitty movies and laughing at them (Red Letter Media, Cinema Snob etc)

I see what you mean, yes I see the value in that.

Make sense, thanks.

Generally yes as it usually turns out to be a frustrating waste of time.

Mind you I have noticed when a film comes out imdb gets flooded with reviews giving the film 10...a few months later things level out and the real rating will appear.
So maybe there is paid opportunity to do bullshit reviews on imdb for marketing and promoting films.
I know I have watched a few 'highly rated' new movies that sucked pretty bad

Jack and Jill is rated a 3.3 on IMDb and I thought its nowhere as bad as people make it to be. The concept of al Pacino being in love with female Adam Sandler is hilarious to me. Standard SNL sketch.

I've only watched this movie once but I enjoyed it!

I'll give every movie a chance but it has a time limit before I give up.

Nah. I'll check the reviews for relevant info unless I'm really hyped to see something then I'm not looking at reviews at all. But in either case, the numbers don't matter.

I see, that's a noble approach.

The first thing I do is "Alexa, what is the IMDB rating of.....". There is too much to choose from to watch trash unless it is the genre where trash is good--Like 80's horror. I love low budget Horror, but Tubi is filled with 1000s of sub 5 scored flicks that are awful.

There's always time for popcorn films. I've seen all the classics and all the art house films and what not but that's only a part of what makes film great imo. Been getting together with my homie once a month for 20 years to watch a double bill of the worst garbage we can find. Nothing more fun than riffing on Speed 2 and Double Team with a friend.

I used to. I love IMDb and it's one of few apps I use. I used to love the forums but the pdfiles ruined that.

Now I watch whatever seems interesting or the algorithm digs up. Currently throwing a lot of Kilmer and dolph lundgren at me. I rewatched meals on wheels and the kung fu and Jackie chan suggestions bring back memories

Doesnt that forum have that disaster of a trainwreck Shawshank Redemption ranked a perfect 10?
Yea, ole Pete gives zero hoots what them folks think about movies, I watch what I want

Yes.

Not wasting my time.
