I remember him being part of conors group and he was training to make an mma debut. I have noticed that he is no longer behind the scene with Conor.

Anyone know if something happened?

"You're playing touch butt with that dork in the park" was to Ido what "Who da fook is that guy" was to Jeremy.

No one could take him seriously, including Conor, after that zinger by Nate Diaz.

he noticed late that movement thing is a waste of time

and ido is the master of snake oil

Maybe Conor found a better way to use his training time than to fool around with some random Instagram guru.

Touchbutt was suppose to give him the edge against Mayweather.

When it didn't ido got canned.

Maybe he banged Dee, just like how the manbun yogi bangs your character's wife in GTA5.

It's not a waste of time because you can't spend months and months training doing the same things. Georges does gymnastics, for example. Getting outside and doing some active recovery is great, its good to give your body a break and to have some fun.

It's only snake oil if you actually believe its improving your ability as an athlete outside of getting some fresh air and moving around for fun between skill training.

I think the whole touch butt era was to distract from McGregors knee recovery at the time and keep him in the mma media.

So it's snake oil.

So it's snake oil.

If you think Georges doing gymnastics is 'snake oil' then yes.

Any type of active recovery where you aren't stressing the body or having contact is wise for combat athletes. I don't think it matters what you do and if you get fresh air and a mental reset from the break, those are good things.

It's not that movement training is a waste of time it's that ido portal makes it seem like it's the most important thing in the world by making claims that are not true.

One claim was that learning his ido method gives his students the ability to perform every single martial arts kick that exist. While in reality each kick needs to be drilled with proper reps. You can't short cut things by some revolutionary training method.

I'm not familiar with him specifically outside of funny memes on this forum and some embedded video. I have no idea how seriously anyone would take those claims.

Of course thats nonsense. However, active recovery doing movement to give your body a break from training is a good idea.

No.. Ido was sucking Conor balls on Facebook a couple of days before the fight.

I agree with you on active recovery. I like the idea of tai chi or some forms of yoga. This includes movement training. That being said ido portal makes it seem like it's the most revolutionary training method that is more important than conventional training.
