Prove me wrong

Demetrious Johnson: 25-2

9 title defenses, undefeated at FLW (his natural weightclass, he could even cut down to 115), has only lost 6 rounds at FLW in 12 fights - 45 total rounds (UFC FLW), he wins 7.5 rounds per every round lost

Notable wins:

Joseph Benavidez: 25-4, all his 4 loses are against MM and Cruz (Cruz is a weightclass above him so his only real loses at his weightclass are vs MM)

John Dodson: A natural FLW who likes to fight at BW (because he couldn't beat MM), wrecked TJ Dillashaw within a minute

Kyoji Horiguchi: 18-2 fighter, 7-1 in the UFC, yeah, his only loss was against MM

Henry Cejudo: A really good wrestler with improved striking, was 10-0, his only loses were against MM (like everyone) and a controversial dec vs Benavidez

George St Pierre: 25-2

9 title defenses, 2 loses at WW (should be 3), got murdered by a TUF winner with a 9-4 record at the time, has lost 10 rounds in 21 fights - 67 total rounds, he wins 6.7 rounds per every round lost

Notable wins:

Nick Diaz: Gatekeeper, 7-7 in the UFC

Carlos Condit: Good fighter but a little overrated, his best win was against a young Rory, 7-6 in the UFC

BJ Penn: A natural LW who could have cut down to FW, also one of the most overrated fighters in LW history

Matt Hughes: Good fighter, he beat GSP tho

Johny Hendircks: Well, he actually lost this fight tbh, Johny retired him

Notable mention:

Yeah, an inexperienced MM lost to Cruz who was in his primer before injuries, the GOAT BW fighter of all time, but actually MM outstruck him, he lost because size/weight difference was too much, 5" advantage

When did GSP fought the GOAT MW of all time (Silva)? Instead he fought a small LW and have been waiting years until Silva is done and Bisping is the champ to move up

Inb4 you say FLW has no competition, if MM wasn't born it would be one of the most stacked divisions, Dodson, Benavidez, Cejudo...

I think I agree he is more well rounded since MM finishes and has a more threatening offense both striking and grappling.

Not really sure about "better".

an ant would be p4p better than both

Absolutely, GSP is behind MM, Jones, Silva, Cormier, Aldo and Fedor in the GOAT talks

DM fights in a an undeveloped weightclass full of nobodies and wannabes. Leaving us with no ability to compare his ability in a historical context. GSP defeated bonafide legends and ruled a stacked division for years.

Do the math.

Undeveloped class because you say?

It's not like FLW fighters started fighting 3-4 years ago, most of them were fighting at BW, they moved down when UFC created it

Remember Dodson KTFO Dillashaw, a young TJ tho

Dodson started his pro career in 2004
Benavidez in 2006
McCall in 2002

MM in 2007, he is even the most "undeveloped" one

GSP's strength of schedule is much stronger IMO.

TS is a hater, why waste the time?

His attempts to make Horiguchi and Cejudo sound great and later discrediting 5 guys who have held major titles is laughable.

Get serious fan boi, even if your conclusion is right, your work is ugly.

GSP has wins against Hughes, BJ, Fitch, Alves all at time when they were ranked highly on p4p lists. Does MM have any top p4p wins or just top wins at 125lbs?

All due respect to lighter divisions, but there are few(if any) equivalents to prime versions of Hughes, BJ, Shields, etc at those weights.

Cody destroyed Cruz who wrecked MM. Cody p4p#1. I'd love to see MM vs Cody after Cody is done with TJ.

The margins are super close. I think GSP's win over Shields was super big for it's time and rather underatted; a former Strikeforce MW champ who had beaten Dan Henderson previously not too long ago and was a tear of a winstreak. Shields was a legit top p4p fighter for a long time before the GSP fight. If DJ can muster 2-3 more defences I will say he passes GSP

He's like the Ricardo Lopez of mma....nobody really gives a shit

That's like saying a bug is better P4P at fighting than a tiger.

Sure whatever. Tiger still crushes the bug.

DM would probably beat most "Developed" fighters had they been available IMO, but yes, I agree, GSP is as legit as you get.

Your post seems extremely subjective, MM makes his opponents look like nobodies.

"GSP defeated bonafide legends", yeah GSP is great but a lot of his opponents weren't particularly well rounded if you look at it objectively.

who gives a shit what a 125 lb guy does...I'll sit on him
