I got some Defense Soap and it is fine...but you can get something else that is cheaper and should be at least as effective.

Go to your local Hippie Health Food Grocery and get some Dr Bronners Tea Tree Soap: Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Retail Store: Tea Tree Liquid Soap
I just got a 16oz bottle for $9.
It smells like it actually has more Tea Tree Oil in it than Defefnse Soap does.
Organic ingredients...NO DETERGENTS

Defense Soap is thicker probably because it has Glycerin in it but other than that it is basically the same as Dr Bronners.

If you want to you can add Eucalyptus Oil (get ESSENTIAL OIL).
it doesn't take much but it isn't cheap...you might put 30 drops into a 16oz bottle of Soap.

You can get Dr Bronners by the Gallon if you wNted it for a Gym or school.

You need to check the concentration levels.. We are a full 2%. The maximum amount that can be put in soap. Plus I don't see Dr Bronner sponsoring to many tournaments or fighters.

So now we're supposed to buy your soap because we admire your marketing plan.

No thanks, Guy. You just blew it.

Defense soap is a great product. It kept me funk free in Thailand while everyone else at the camp was breaking out in skin infections. It's not expensive at all.

Guy,

I'm not dogging your product...I like it.
I even stuck up for it recently: http://www.sherdog.net/forums/f16/keeping-clean-1409257/

I've just been buying Dr Bronners for over 20 years and my wife has always been buying Essential Oils and adding them...Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Lavender etc...

Dr Bronners lists WATER as it's first ingredient.
It is also much thinner than Defense Soap so it is very possible that Defense Soap is more concentrated.

I have NO idea how much Oil is in Dr Bronners already (one benefit of adding your own).
I'm glad that you market to Sports teams and Wrestling as you give a good alternative to TRICLOSAN

I had a gym buddy that swore by Defense soap and still got ringworm.

Didn't mean to come off brash. Kind of rushed my response on the way out the door to wrestling practice.

What did we blow. We really don't have a marketing plan. We support as many fighters, tournaments and MMA or wrestling causes that we can. I have not drawn a salary from Defense in five years nor do I intend to for at least another 5 years. I donate what would be my salary right back into the world of combat athletes. How many other companies in this industry can say that?

Wrestling have given me and now my son everything that we can account for in our lives. We are very serious about battling skin infections that plaque combat athletes and we do not profit from our efforts. If you read any of our posts you will see that they offer educational material rather then simply being Defense Soap commercials. If you are a combat athlete of any sort I would have to imagine you could appreciate that.

Can you have your friend contact me at defensesoap@msn.com. If he got ringworm while using our soap we need to know about it. I would be a fool and a liar to say that it is impossible to get ringworm while using our soap. We have sold 140,000 products in the last 5 years with 2 complaints on effectiveness. So anything is possible but we would still like to hear your friend's story. There maybe something there that we all could learn from.

We have approached Dicks a number of times but they won't touch us. Ask your gym to carry us. We will give them wholesale pricing and you can pick it up right where you train. Win win for you, your gym and me.

Perhaps you've noticed that it is somewhat common for businesses to invest money in sponsorships, to increase their visibility and generate sales. But hey, since you're "donating" the money, not investing it...

If I've misjudged you and your company, I apologize. Maybe you should register as a charitable organization.

not for anything, but cannon_6 your coming off as a bit of a jerk. you never heard the term "support the sport" ?

yeah you shouldnt buy sprawls shorts either becuse they make shorts specifically for grappling/fighting and for some reason their marketing plan is focused on fooling us grappler/fighters into buying their product. its just shady business.

Please ask an adult to explain my post to you.
