Fun fight. Both guys coming off rough finish losses. They both like to throw hands. Should be a couple of guys hungry to win.

Solid fight to what's developing into a very good card.

Both guys are on the back-9 of their careers & not looking great lately, which is why I love the matchup. It's fair & will probably be a pretty competitive & fun 3-round scrap. Neither guy is a defensive wizard & both are pretty high output. Ponzi's power may be the difference?

Gotta go with DRod. I feel Ponzinibbio is starting to diminish a tad/past prime. I could be wrong though. Respect

Jeez that Mexican independence day card is becoming stacked for a fight night

That’s a spicy fight. Somebody is getting chinned.

Good scrap. In his prime I'd be picking Ponzinibbio all day but now I feel like D-Rod might take it. As mediocre as he is.

D-Rod is good, but got a robbery win against the Leech. Ponzi I think gets the win here, that's if he still has it and hasn't declined.

his unwillingness to go for the finish is quite triggering to watch.

Poor Ponzinibbio. I'm not saying he woulda been champ or anything, but I think his career and legacy would have been a bit different if injuries and infections and COVID hadn't robbed him of more than 2 years of his prime.

I thought the Ponzi that fought Magny and Nelson was gonna fight for the title. It's such a shame he got sick at the height of his game. I'm always rooting for him.

Good fight!

Same age, similar height, similar ability, similar stats (although Santiago has fought way more times)...

I'm going with D-Rod though, he actually can match the output of Santiago, and I think he's just a tiny bit better. D

D-Rod by Decision.

Both guys are very limited, they stick to the same tools for most fights.
Ponzi loves his body jab but it won't be as available against the south paw. However, his overhand right will be available on the open side of DROD. I definitely see DRODs regularly landing that calf kick into the boxing-heavy Ponzi. Will be a great scrap.

Ponzi is awesome but lately he has not been looking as good as he did around 2017-18
Obviously I hope he takes the W here

This is perfect matchmaking. Leaning toward Ponzi scheme but DRod is game as fuck. Great fight
