I've seen an interview with Dana where he says that Randy lied to him about being in negotiations with Spike, but is that where all the bad blood comes from? And has Randy actually ever disputed what Dana has said about him?

Honestly I think the story / beef dates back so long ago I'd be surprised if anyone knew the entirety of it.

Randy wasn't too happy that Brock was getting paid more than him while he was still Heavyweight champion and Brock just got into the UFC.

Probably when Randy wanted to leave the UFC to fight Fedor.

Couture felt disrespected when the ufc started sighning contracts with young unproven fighters for more $$ than they were paying him is part of the reason

I actually think it STARTED when Randy didn't want to sign over his likeness rights for figurines and video games for no compensation.

That was a bit before the Fedor stuff.

The earliest story I remember is when Randy won the heavyweight title. He went to film the Scorpion King 2 and claimed that the UFC hadn't paid him what he was owed and that he wanted to retire (or go fight Fedor). Dana did a press conference showing the checks the UFC wrote and the dates Randy supposedly cashed them.

Randy got all Hollywood and got some terrible new management.

Randy wanted to fight Fedor, Zuffa couldn't sign him, Randy wanted to be allowed to fight him outside of the UFC...Zuffa wouldn't allow it.

Randy tried to sit out his contract to pursue the Fedor fight, had some lawsuits, got manhandled back into the company to get smashed by Brock.

Etc.

Randy got a commentary job on ufc events after he retired, and waited around for several years for the ufc to offer him a front office job, similar to what liddell and hughes ended up with.

The offer never came, and randy was offered a job on bellators reality show, so he took it.

Dana was pissed, but the ball was in danas court for several years and he kept Randy in limbo instead of giving him a yes or no.

Dana blames Randy, but i think randy was more than fair and gave dana plenty of time to make a decision and it never came.

There was other financial and trademark issues that randy didn't agree with, but the job was the biggest factor.

Dana says randy is furthest thing from a man outside the cage, and with danas track record with honesty and broken promises to fighters, id side with randy on that one.

Randy was mad that Jim cozad had better hair.

Randy chased the Fedor fight after he won the HW title

Well Randy was caught lying about his UFC pay. The UFC and Dana are often in the wrong, but with what Randy did in 2007 its not hard to believe that Randy is in the wrong
