Dana White mentioned some tweaks they made to the FW division to make it more interesting

He pretty much admits that they were going to scrap the division until one of his guys suggested some tweaks. He stopped short of saying what those changes were. Anybody think they know what it was?

MM lost the belt but it was a really close, controversial fight and the series was 1-1 with MM completely destroying Cejudo in the first match. Plus, MM was a longtime reigning Champion. The UFC would normally do an instant rubber match in that situation but they traded MM instead. It was unprecedented.

There’s been a lot more finishes, so the tweak may have been something along the lines of changing win bonuses TO finish bonuses or something

the lower weights used to be less exciting because of the natural lack of finishes (better Chins relative to weight) ... a lot of good KOs and going for it submissions recently

People didn't like the division because it was hard to take the fights seriously. 5'6" guys like we saw tonight look way different even though it's just 3".

I'd like to see a balance of grapplers and strikers but theres no doubt the strikers generally bring more numbers.
