I always object to the term of toxic masculinity, but to some extent, it certainly exists. When I think of toxic masculinity, I automatically think of Don Frye, whom I love, but the dude is so masculine that he seems to have to no soft side or nurturing aspects-which I consider as a toxic character flaw. You see it in every culture-men who refuse to change diapers, take care of and nurture their children-if they have anything at all to do with them that is, and when they do, all they do is preach toughness and violence-it’s definitely toxic and harmful.
