Promoters gonna promote. As it stands GSP has 4 more title defenses (against 9 different fighters opposed to Usman’s 3 different fighters) and twice as many top 10 wins overall. Usman is great but that is a massive difference in terms of accomplishments and legacy.

It’s not nostalgia to say GSP is the greatest, he has a solid argument. But I’m bracing myself for the nostalgia about GSP being a flawless fighter and every single fighter he beat would be a triple-champion today and that Silva ducked him and every fighter of his era other than him was on PEDs, etc
