The discussion of whether Jewish people are one, distinct race is fairly complex in my understanding. It's a bit like Latinos - there are white, black and brown latinos and ditto Jews - yet disciminating against Latino people is definitely considered racist and doing so against Jewish people is the same. What isn't complex at all is that Jews have been treated like a distinct minority and persectured through history up until the present day.
