Going off stats and watching the fights, it's clear that Bivol and Shakur are the best defensive boxers in the game, a level above everyone else.

Not surprised by any of those names tbh. As long as they are matchup up well stylistically, most of those guys aren't boring (haney being the exceptions imo). This is why im looking forward to Stephenson vs Teo, as teo will make this a fight

monster inoue is number 3 least hit & least hit by power punches.
with a 90% KO record.

You kinda have to be when you face the kinda punchers he's fought.

I just mean from a statistics point of view, he got hit more in those fights than any of his other ones and Beterbiev is a champ and top p4p fighter.

Kinda felt like the Hagler vs Leonard of our time in some ways. Really wish Bivol was more active and that Biev came a little younger to boxing.

I am honestly really surprised Gassiev is up there even as an honorable mention. He has never struck me as the most defensively responsible. Good on him though.

Catterall is a bit of a surprise but he is pretty slick so I believe it.

Lara also makes sense but he might also be up there with least punches thrown too

If Bivol fights Benavidez, his averages will go down. Not saying his can't or won't win but his averages will go down.

I think that might be because Pulev landed like 6% of his punches against him last fight.
I dont know.

Yeah, it's too bad. If Beterbiev had been in his prime, that could have been the fight of the decade.

If Biev came to boxing a little younger, if Loma came to boxing after the first Olympic gold medal, if Dmitry Pirogs spine didnt explode. It could have been really interesting careers for sure. Even GGG, besides him being ducked for years and years by everyone relevant. Central Asia and Eastern Europe did not get a fair shake. Anyways, I digress.

As another poster pointed out I'm not sure that I buy Gassiev is hit so little. Years back Usyk lit him up like a Christmas tree for 12 rounds in the WBSS final. His power does serve as a major deterrent causing his opponents to not want to open up as much but nobody would say he's good defensively. Not by a longshot.

Well he hasn't exactly been facing the murders row lately. Outside of Cruiser he hasn't really faced anyone with a pulse outside of Wallin.

That's true. Gassiev has physically declined so I don't really hold it against him too much. Reportedly they're interested in the Itauma fight which the WBA recently ordered but that's a terrible fight for him. Both losses on his record came against southpaws and Itauma is a lefty.

I've heard that. Gassiev will get butchered if that happens.
