These days the CSAC reports fight night weights after each event.

Think you know how big The Comeback California Kid will be on fight night?
How about BJJ wunderkind Ryan "The Wizard" Hall, one of the few to defeat GOAT Lobov?
Would it be rude to guess new mom Julianna Pena's weight?
How big will the post-ostarine suspension duo of Marvin Vettori and Nicco Montano be?
And how much does all that Cezar "Mutante" Ferreira muscle weigh after all the water goes back in?

Last time we did one of these was Jones vs Gus II at the end of last year and it was revealed that:
  • Gus and Cyborg are smaller than everyone thought
  • Volkanovski and Chiesa are bigger than everyone thought
  • Guesses for Bones, Nunes, Mendes and Condit were generally scattered around the true weights

On that occasion only @Pascal Bergeron, @fortheo, @The XL and @Only Here for Attachments had the stones to put it all on the line and earn the everlasting respect of the fight night weight gods.

For the record, Fortheo is the current title holder.

Do you have what it takes to join the pantheon?

RESULTS UPDATE FIIIIIIINALLY:
(Feel free to check my numbers in case I made any cock-ups)

1. Mohawk Bandito 69.4
2. Fortheo 70.2
3. Joshuaace 82.6
4. Wizzlebiz 95.0
5. Pascal 111.2
6. Rum 162.2
7. Kaffebaggel 214.8

The plot below shows we generally underestimated the weights for the fighters on this card.
  • Cesar Ferreira was quite a bit smaller than most of us expected
  • GDR and Pena were slightly smaller than most of us expected
  • Hall and Fili were slightly bigger than most of us expected
  • Everyone else was quite a bit bigger than most of us expected
  • Vettori in particular is a much bigger guy than we expected ... Joshuaace at 9 under Vettori's event weight was the closest, the rest of us were even further under
  • We pretty much nailed it for Ricky Simon
  • That madman Kaffebagel with his maverick approach was somehow the most accurate for both Josh Emmett and Sheymon Moraes

I salute you as a true man of honour sir, but I am able to inform you it is not a typo, it is a very dumb joke which will perhaps become a tradition.

Last time, for example, I estimated Ilir Latifi at LHW would be 287 in the cage (which is why you don't see a black dot on the plot for Latifi, it was way off the scale).

I'm going to use idiot math to sort this out scientifically! I'll assume the heaviest and lightest of the fighters are 200 and 140 respectively and average that out for 14 people. ((200*7)+(140*7))/14 = 170

Ergo they will all weigh 170 pounds on fight night even though there are no WW fights because SCIENCE!!

The joke eluded me. Honor and humor do not. Thanks for the enlightenment.

This card just makes me wish they put more important fighters in California

Yeah, same here, it was aces last time to get confirmation on the sizes of top talent like Nunes, Cyborg, Bones and Gus, along with legends like Mendes and Penn and rising killers like Volkanovski and Hall.

I think the only other 2019 event in Cali is UFC-241, which will reveal (assuming they all make it to the dance) fight night weights for legends Nate and Pettis and muscle factories Yoel and Paulo Costa.

Mutante is the only one I'm genuinely curious to know. Dude is carrying Tibau's torch.

To be fair my dumb jokes often are only funny to me so they're easy to miss.

I guess I should try to defend my crown.

Get your picks in you filthy animals

I've never tried this before, let's take a shot, despite my being total ass at estimating any quantities.

151 GDR
153 Ladd
148 Faber
153 Simon
163 Emmett
165 Bektic
199 Vettori
210 Ferreira
161 Fili
163 Moraes
147 Pena
151 Montano
161 Elkins
152 Hall

Im curious about Hall, cuz I dont see him cutting much at all. I know he's a featherweight, but his lightweight fight against Penn, he went from 154-156, which I can do with just a burrito, forget rehydrating.

This card just makes me wish they put more important fighters in California
What date did they start publicizing this? I know they were taking the info for medical info for a bit before they started releasing it
