Would be a perfect time for this rematch. Mirko just won the K1 GP, Aerts won against JBS (#5 liverkick-ranking). Both fighters were written off and showed that they are still dangerous and that experience is a factor in KB.

Glory make this fight in Japan!!! :icon_twis

To be fair I just want to see Mirko retire now. Not that I don't believe he can't win the fight, I think he just has done it all now and it would be just a perfect ending to retire on a GP win.

It would be kind of cool for a grand finale match for both of their careers. I'd like to see them both retire but ultimately it is their decision and I wish them both good luck.

No Aerts is punch drunk and cro cops face tick indicateds (early sings of) brain damage. They need to retire and focus on other things in life. You don't want to end up like Gary Goodrigde.

I like this idea I would think Aerts would maul him this time around but you never know.

eh... they should start an old timers league for mma. head gear, larger gloves, etc... id buy it and watch!

Unless he was punch-drunk in PRIDE, that tick has been around forever. That last K-1 was a sham, but at least CC fairly won his finals match and scored that head kick to get the fight changing 10-8.

Yeah, it's kind of a cool fight, but I still think Aerts is at a different level in kickboxing

To be honest, I would love to see a veterans tournament. Just imagine: CC, Aerts, Remy, Le Banner, etc. Just don

I would rather see Mirko fight Ben Saddik after Saddik spends another six months or so improving and getting into better shape. :icon_twis

I really wish Mikro would hang them up at this point. It was great seeing him win the GP.

I think you have early signs of brain damage. Mirko has had this tick for a long long time and it was even before his pride days. He isn't suffering from brain damage in the least.

That tick is indicative of a neuropathy, regardless of whether it started before his Pride. Taking all the hits he has taken over the years is not going to HELP something like that.

well in this case, he should have never started fighting at all...

He had this tick in his starting days in K1 too.

Like I said, repeated trauma to the head is unlikely to help such a thing. Feel free to argue how it would.
