Create a gimmick (that has never been tried before)

I had a gimmick in mind that to my knowledge has never been tried before. This is what I would do:

Male wrestler with female valet. And they basically do a “Dancing with the Stars” gimmick as their entrance to the ring. Ballroom dancing, salsa, it could vary week to week. But their routine is what would be the hook to get people to watch them. I feel like with wrestling it’s the entrance that gets an act over. Undertaker, the Acclaimed, Jungleboy’s song, Jericho’s song. So why not take that concept and make a routine out of it. And you could get immense heat by interrupting them. Say they are doing their routine and instead of the opponent waiting for it to end, he just clobbers them. The tricky part would be the transitioning from ballroom dancing clothes to wrestling attire but I think it could somehow work. Pro wrestling is very much like any type of live action Broadway theatre. I think a DWTS gimmick gets over bc it’s so different.

yeah summer Rae def played the part the way I would have done it. But didn’t look like Fandango could do it and you can’t really have that gimmick dressed in wrestling attire. He needed to be dressed as Frank Sinatra for it to look right. I didn’t watch WWE back then but guess it’s make sense since DWTS was really popular back then

Bout a couple thousand different wrestlers have done that gimmick, some of the most famous are Wahoo McDaniel, Chief Jay Strongbow, Winona Littleheart, Chief Big Heart, Jules Strongbow, Princess Little Cloud, Princess Dark Cloud, Don Eagle, Chief Black Eagle, Chief White Eagle, Steve Gatorwolf, Little Beaver, Jay Youngblood, Chris Youngblood, Mark Youngblood, etc., etc.

Best one ever, IMHO, was the Wahoo McDaniel version. Wasn't anyone of any race or ethnic background getting up after being struck with a bunch of his savage tomahawk chops.

Shane Douglas was doing that gimmick as Dean Douglas in mid 90's WWF.
