Nate's never had a KO loss in his career, as in put out cold, he does have a couple TKO losses including the eye cut stoppage vs Jorge. Would Ilia have been able to put away a prime Diaz like he did to Max and Charles?

It's a coin toss. I've seen him eat shots like nothing but I've also seen him dropped. Not snoozed but dropped.

Nate is an anomaly man. Ilia wins on paper, but Nate is as tough as they come & pretty well rounded. If Nate was to pull out a win I wouldn't be surprised mfers.

Do people just always confuse Nick with Nate?

Nick was the iron chin, iron cardio, etc...

Nate's got the great sub finishes.

Even Nate knows his brother was superior but just came up short on decisions (due to style).

This forum is dumb, doesn't even save posts if you accidentally click on something else.

He didn't ko emmett but there hes in the outside more stayin away feom josh powrr. Against nate less risk so mebe goes inside land big punch nate no see and get ko. Who knows tho mayve nate eats it and doesn't get koed.

But masvidal said he had be careful with ilia cuz this guy cracks so i guess ilia can reliably ko WWS IF he lands on em like against volk, max, cgales.

doubtful. it took a head kick that literally dented thomson's shin to TKO him, and even then it was only from his corner throwing in the towel. say what you want about him but nate had a legendary chin.

Holloway had a better chin IMO, way more proven and tested.

So yeah, I think Topuria would have killed Nateby brutal KO.
Max absorbed the most significant headstrikes in company history. It was a matter of time.

They both had iron chins and iron cardio. Nate made Cowboy looked like a tired stupid fool by their third round. Nick was definitely a bit better. Sad to see the state he's in today.

Honestly I doubt it, say what you will about Conor, but he had great boxing and power and beat the shit out of Nate and couldn’t put him away

Top couldn’t finish Emmett, so unless I see more devastating KO’s at 155 I’d say no

That being said he’d massacre Nate, it wouldn’t be close whatsoever like the Conor fights were

Could he KO Nate? Sure. But I wouldn't bet on it. Josh Thomson's head kick would've KO'd most MWs and Nate didn't go lights out--Nick threw in the towel. Just because Nate was TKO'd one time in his first 31 fights (including hard hitters like Gomi, Conor and Guillard) doesn't mean it's guaranteed or easy for Ilia.

Styles make fights, and I think Nate around 28 years old would be a tougher stylistic match-up than 36-year old Volk only 3 months from another brutal KO, a 35-year old Charles with 250K miles on him or an equally worn-down Max who has been in nine 5-round fights & is 6 years removed from his FW championship days.

Nate had his weaknesses but Ilia is unlikely to go Clay Guida and wrestle him for 5 rounds. Nate, along with prime Tony would be more likely than anyone I can think of to take Ilia into deep waters in the championship rounds.

That's not how it works. Chins that have been "proven" and "tested" the most become more likely to fail. Big Nog, Roy Nelson, Mark Hunt and Hendo all had uncrackable chins until they didn't. Big Nog faced a lot of hard hitters and it was Frank Mir of all people who first TKO'd him.

Either Max or Nate from 7-8 years ago would be tougher opponents than the current Max or Charles (who has almost 50 fights since 2008, mostly against solid UFC competition).

People forget that Nate actually ate two headkicks in that fight like nothing.

I don’t know man. Hard to imagine a turbo manlet KO’ing Nate with his fists. Conor teed off on Nate and eventually got tired. I’m gonna say no.
