There I said it.
I looked again at DDP vs Khamzat, JDM vs Islam and noticed something...
Why were DDP and JDM just laying there?
In a real fight, they would surely attack the back of the head as hard as possible right?
Just start smacking the occipital lobe and make them blind

As soon as the opponent on the bottom starts punching the face,
Russian-style fighters turn their head so only the back part is shown.
Effectively becoming immune to damage as long as they have top control
This is like a video game glitch where you can attack your enemy but they can't attack you.
Real-life exploit of a flawed ruleset.
If the UFC wants to get rid of boring hug matches,
maybe allow any person on bottom position to have back of the head shots.
That will make the person on top more active in looking for GnP or submissions,
instead of being rewarded for damageless "control time" from the judges POV.
