Judging by his Instagram photos of his training, I would actually assume he's coming in lighter than usual. He seems much more slim than he was against Eddie and Khabib, and obviously compared to the Nate and Cerrone fights at WW. It could just be lighting/photog moments, but he doesn't look as big, certainly not like that photo.
Which is IMO a good thing. I've felt his whole "LW" run that he's really just been a WW masquerading as a LW. The Eddie fight was a masterclass performance of course, but he looked way too big coming off two WW fights and I remember after the 1st and he hadn't stopped him yet that I was worried he was about to gas. Obviously he didn't, but then he came in at a similar size against Khabib and it came around again and this time he did noticeably slow. He didn't gas, but his output got shot. He's been coming in too big.
Hell, even against Cerrone he looked like he'd morphed into Eddie with his new stocky build lol. And while it's hard to complain about a 40 second KO, he really won that fight via a "clobbering" rather than his usual precision sniping. Cerrone got bowled over rather than crumpled. The punches that dropped him were hammers, not shots on the chin shutting out the lights.
He can be as muscular as he wants in between fights for his Instagram and August McGregor line, but come fight camp he needs to cut it down to his previous lean, agile state. That was the best fighting Conor.
