After the disappointing ratings of TUF: Chandler vs McGregor, I wish the UFC had booked this matchup instead. In an alternate reality, this fight happened.

A win over Masvidal could've elevated McGregor's ranking in WW considering that version of Masvidal Burns faced was beatable. Masvidal could've rode off into the sunset with a huge payout whether or not he beats McGregor.

And with the BMF title on the line, the PPV buys would've surpassed UFC 229.

The version of Masvidal Burns faced was beatable? The guy has 17 losses and never won more than 3 in a row since he was in the minor leagues like 15 years ago. What version of him wasn't beatable?
