These were not supposed to be here until tomorrow according to UPS tracking....but got home from work today and there was a box on my doorstep. Ok. So much for the reliability of tracking numbers.

Anyway......these are from Combat Corner. I have heard good things about their products and wanted to try a pair of gloves. Looking at the site...some of the gloves can be pricey. Not wanting to spend a lot....I chose from the C2 line which is what they call their budget line . Looking at these gloves....there is no budget about it.

Construction
----------------
The claim was that these were leather. Yup. The shell is indeed leather and nicely done. The smell is wonderful!!!! The palm is synthetic I believe with mesh to help keep the hands cool. The stitching is pretty spot on. The Velcro on the wrist is super sticky. The padding is somewhat dense but soft enough to where I could see sparring in these. Weighed the gloves and they came in at 16.4 ounces each. Excellent!!!!
The inner liner is a very soft fabric. Not too much, no bunching.

Fit
-----
The gloves fit nicely on a wrapped hand. Snug but not uncomfortable. Nice finger length and great thumb placement. They are somewhat compact gloves. The wrist wraps nicely and feels very solid. All around very nice fitting gloves. No complaints at all.

Performance
----------------
I put these to a quick test on my 100lb heavy bag in the garage. Just a few quick rounds to get a feel. The glove has an already broken in feeling. Making a fist and opening the palm was a breeze. The pop on the bag was very satisfying. The padding took all the impact with greatness. The wrist support was very solid with my hardest punches. I didn't stay on long enough for my hands to get sweaty so as far as ventilation....that has yet to be determined.

Conclusion
---

Here are the pics:

kinda blurry. sorry.

Put these through a full workout tonite. Very nice. No pain in the hands or wrists. As for the mesh......didn't notice much of a difference with cooling. One session down.....hopefully many more to go.

How much did these cost? NVM I just saw it. Lol. Overall you like em?

Solid review man. I like your style like with the apex ringside review too. Thabks for sharing and nice color choice the pink and black is actually pulled off nicely IMO.

Thanks for the review! Now you can put it up on ebay! :icon_lol:

I'd like to hear how the cheap gloves hold up after more use.

Good initial review, man. I always wondered about Combat Corner. Their Pinnacle gloves look good--6 layers of padding is definitely a perk--but at $129 they're a bit steep. Supposedly, they're coming out with a Muay Thai line with the equipment manufactured in Thailand. I'm curious to see how much they charge for Thai-made gloves, because unlike Mexican gloves which can be well over $130, Thai gloves are known for being relatively inexpensive (as low as $60 stateside) but very high-quality. A tough market to crack that's for sure.

I want to 2nd the positive review of the C2's, good compact glove, amazing value
