Given how these fights with Usman played out, how do you think a fight with Colby and Woodley in his prime have went? I remember when the two were originally gonna face each other, Woodley was pretty heavily favored. Then Colby eventually beat him pretty easily but it was after Woodley had already been declining.

Woodley gets underestimated here after his horrid run, but Colby has the perfect style to take this fight, and an iron chin too.

Impossible to say because Tyron was inconsistent even at his best. One-shotting Lawler, to then putting on an utterly horrible fight against Maia despite it being 100% standing, etc.

Only consistent thing was his unbelievable decline once it started. From the champ to arguably not even top 10 in record speed.

How the hell can you accurately assess "prime" Woodley is what I'm getting at.

The fight would be canceled because Colby would be canceled long before the fight took place.

Don't forget, he lost to Rory and Jake Shields (in a pure stand-up fight) shortly before he was champ as well. And I think Wonderboy (who had a draw with hiim) could've won with a little more aggression and better gameplanning. Woodley never had an "unbeatable" phase. Prime vs. prime, Usman, Colby and GSP circa 2009 should all be favored over him. Chimeav may also be a really bad match-up for him, though we'll have to see Chimeav against more elite competition first.

Since Tyron lost a boxing match to a full time youtuber and part-time boxer, that means his only chance to beat Colby is on the ground. And he loses there too.

Colby wins because Tyron couldn't handle pressure in his prime. Colby would back him up and keep him confused/gun shy. Is there a chance that Tyron lands that right and KO's Colby? Yes, but I think Colby wins that fight.

Colby would maul any version of Woodley. Just a really bad match up. Woodley despises pressure and Colby would be relentless.

Yep. Think about Rory vs. Woodley. While Colby doesn't have Rory's reach, he more than makes up for it with his work rate, aggessiveness and chin, which are all stronger than Rory's.

How about this:
Who wins in RDA vs Colby if RDA came out in the first like he did in the 4th. He hit 3 of 4 TDs, had over 2 min of top control and outstruck Colby. Attacking TDs takes away Colby's cardio weapon. He throws high volume pitty pat punches and spams TDs. He is no threat to sub or KO anyone unless his gets them exhausted from defending TDs and getting back up every time.

Colby is very comfortable attacking for TDs which commentators always say take a lot of energy to get. Because he is comfortable with it he is much more relaxed. Maia was boxing Colby's ears off in the first but its not his comfort zone so he tired out. If RDA attacked with TDs from the start Colby gets tired and then RDA's striking and subs can come into play.

I think his pressure is still too much for woodly

Prime Woodly would have a puncher's chance and that's it. He couldnt take the fight to the ground like he did against someone like Till as Colby is an excellent wrestler. Plus Colby has much better cardio than any version of Woodley.

Colby would win, his style of pressure striking/grappling was one that Woodley always had trouble with, prime Woodley lost to Shields and Rory who implemented a similar gameplan to how Colby fights.

Woodley is still prime

Heck, he almost beat super legit Jake Paul

Plus he's got a successful rap career boi

Colby actually ducked Woodley when he was champ, he was first number 1 contender to ever refuse a title shot cause he was scared of the champion, so there you go.

Colby definitely would have beat prime Tyron. I say this as someone who defended Tyron's fighting ability (not his BS outside the cage) a lot. Colby is precisely the type of fighter who Tyron lost to and I really think Colby has the chin to take his best shots.

The real question is how would an old, retired version of Colby (think Nick Diaz today) do against the current version of Woodley (in a house with no roof)?
