Maybe he did so when it was pretty clear Khamzat was moving up. I doubt he did accepted at any moment that it would have really meant the fight would have been made. Not necessarily because he would never accept a fight with him, but if he accepted at any moment that it would have meant it would have been made, it would have been made. Because I don't doubt Khamzat would have taken that fight and the UFC also seemed to want to make that fight.

Everyone does it. Im not sure what the fuss is about honestly. Leon did it, Woodley did it, Stipe and Colby are doing it now.

It could be very possible that he accepted the porier fight but porier declined.

It's also possible that he accepted a fight from khamzat but Khamzat couldn't get his visa issues sorted out so the fight fell through. Which would explain the long period between the Diaz and Usman fights for khamzat. They probably wanted khamzat to fight ANYONE sooner but couldn't make it happen. which would also explain why he was kept on Ice til Abu Dhabi

I can argue that colby didn't either. He fought usman and lost had a relatively normal turn around for the masvidal fight, got assulted by masvidal might have had legal things to go through as well as dental surgery + recovery period.

Could be argued it wasn't his fault. I know no one would ever give colby the benefit of that doubt, but that very well could have cost him 6 months of fighting, completely beyond his control. the the opportunity to fight leon presented itself after march, now we've waited 7 months since then. there's your year of sitting out.

He is a sleezy person but I believe he accepted both fights, he probably requested something excessive in event of Khamzat missing weight
