I mean... is there any judge that gives worse decisions than these two?

One judge had it 30-27 Emmers.

Chris and Sal had it 29-28 Jenkins.

Emmers landed almost 2X Jenkins in signficant strikes and out grappled.

How does Chris and Sal still have a job as judges

Also FYI, Emmers closed -1700 favorite when fight was over.

As long as these type of "judges" like them and other are never held accountable or able to explain how they came up with the scorecard then this type of thing will always plague combat sports

Honestly they should be interviewed after fights Judges should not be protected

They are all heaping piles of shit who have no business being near a fight.

The only people who should be reffing and judging are former fighters. And that’s it.

Former fighters are way too biased to be judging, imo.

Also, I remember Ricardo Almeida trying his hand as a judge after his fighting career was over and he was terrible. Iirc, he judged some fights at UFC 117 (Silva vs Sonnen) and there was one scorecard in particular that was bananas.

Cecil Peoples and that strange guy who's friends with Sonnen are also terrible.

Someone needs to take those dudes out

….for coffee.

Not robbing, doing exactly what UFC pays them to do: getting random scores wrong on purpose on each card to set a tone of incompetency, so when they actually fix a fight for business like Jones/Reyes or Paddy/Gordon, you think it’s just bad judging again instead of seeing the corruption.

Let’s make this absolutely clear: a $6billion+ company could find almost 100% accurate judges if they wanted, but why would they want that when the subjectivity of mma scoring allows you to fix fights for $$? Boxing has been doing this for decades, usually fixing a W for the home promotion fighter, in UFC it’s all one promotion so they fix close decisions in big fights for who makes them money. But if they only fixed those big fights it would be too obvious, hence scoring random low and mid tier fights wildly wrong to make it seem normal.

You don’t know that it’s not the UFC that appoints judges but the state commissions?? The UFC has nothing to do with selecting judges and paying them.

I believe he’s suggesting the ufc is paying the judges under the table to deliver bad scorecards

I don’t think so, he said a 6 billion $ company could find good judges

besides them, Cecil Peoples, Adelaide Byrd, and that moron who scored the Sandhagen/Vera fight for Vera, who else is a shit judge?

I said this in a different thread but maybe scoring a fight cage side is more difficult than we think?

no doubt, not gonna sit here and say its an easy job.
i would personally like some accountability and explanations for certain scorecards though. careers can be changed permanently due to a poorly done scorecard.

I agree. Maybe they should change the current setup. Maybe not cage side and watch the fight in a different position

Ah, one of those people who "truly sees what's really going on" and "isn't a blind sheep." How's your aluminum foil hat coming along? Better finish it before the government transmits mind-controlling communications into your brain.

With the development of AI it will probably be powerful enough to judge a fight properly in the future. Get rid of these bafoon judges.
But the bafoon judges aren't the problem, unfortunately. Whoever is keeping them untouchable is.

It's the commissions that are to blame.

There are certain officials that have a trackrecord of fucking up for years on end, but the commissions will stand by all of their decisions.
