International [Chinese COVID Vaccines News] After Sowing Propaganda Against mRNA Tech, China Realize They Needs It

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'd rather catch corona couple times a year, than spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair, while being a burden for my family.

Shure, there is a chance of dying from Covid, but the odds of survival are extremely high, so I'd take that chance, instead of spending next 40-50 years in a chair, living a miserable life.

Are you from one of those countries that will be using the Chinese vaccine?

It'll be hard to prove a connection. Most likely the patient had Guillain-Barré syndrome, or GBS. It may be caused by vaccination, of any kind(not sure about mRNA, but you may get it with a flu shot), but it's so poorly understood we can't be sure.
From my first link:

For what it's worth, there are also documented cases of people developing GBS after getting the coronavirus.

Im not very aware of this issue, but did come across this news piece today

Study finds no link between COVID-19, Guillain-Barré syndrome [CIDRAP news]

"A large epidemiologic study in the United Kingdom today finds no association between COVID-19 and Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), an autoimmune condition linked to other bacterial and viral infections. The most common trigger for GBS is infection with Campylobacter jejuni, a bacterial strain that causes gastroenteritis, or infection of the digestive tract. Many other infections can also trigger GBS, leading to concerns about a possible surge in GBS during the COVID-19 pandemic. Small international studies have suggested an association between infection with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, and increased risk of GBS.

Our epidemiological study shows there was no increased incidence in GBS during the first wave of COVID-19," lead author Stephen Keddie, MBBS, said in an UCL news release yesterday. "Rather, there was a decrease and therefore no causal link of COVID-19 to GBS can be made."
The scientists also studied the protein structure of SARS-CoV-2 to determine whether it—like Campylobacter—has human-like antigens that could cause an autoimmune response leading to GBS. Our analysis shows SARS-CoV-2 contains no additional immunogenic material known or proven to drive GBS," Keddie noted in the release. "Concerns that COVID vaccination might cause GBS in any significant numbers are therefore almost certainly unfounded."

Are you from one of those countries that will be using the Chinese vaccine?

No, we'll be using the American vaccine, when it will be cleared by Europe and our medics. The government said that the vaccinations will begin in February.

Sinopharm is testing its vaccines in Argentina, Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco and Russia. Egypt and Indonesia have already received early batches of the vaccines.

The sterilization rumors don't seem so far fetched now.

Pray tell, why would China want to sterilize the people in those countries?

Who said China wants it (not that the CCP deserves to be trusted)?

You are the one who randomly brought up "sterilization rumours" in this Chinese Vaccine discussion thread, so can you clarify exactly what it is that you are talking about and how is it connected to the Sinopharm clinical trial in Peru that we are discussing here?

Sorry bro, I'm not here to do your homework.

Brazil institute says vaccine from China’s Sinovac has efficacy above 50%,
but withheld full results again at the company's request

Sao Paulo Governor Joao Doria (C), Sao Paulo state Health Secretary Jean Gorinchteyn (L) and Butantan Institute director Dimas Covas (R), pose for photos holding doses of the CoronaVac vaccine against COVID-19 next to a container unloaded from a cargo plane that arrived from China at Guarulhos International Airport in Guarulhos, Sao Paulo state, Brazil, on December 18, 2020.

Brazilian researchers said on Wednesday the Covid-19 vaccine developed by China’s Sinovac Biotech is more than 50% effective based on trial data, but again withheld full results at the company’s request, raising questions about transparency.

Brazil is the first country to complete a late-stage trial of the vaccine, called CoronaVac, but a release of the results, first set for early December, has now been delayed three times.

The latest delay is a blow to Beijing, which has been racing to catch up with Western drugmakers, and will add to criticism that Chinese vaccine makers have lacked transparency.

It is also likely to fan growing skepticism toward the Chinese vaccine in Brazil, just as the virus roars back to life. President Jair Bolsonaro, a coronavirus skeptic who has said he will not take a Covid-19 vaccine, has repeatedly questioned the Chinese vaccine based on its “origins.” A poll earlier this month showed that half of Brazilians now reject it.

Officials from the Sao Paulo state government’s Butantan Institute declined to specify the efficacy rate from a trial they led with 13,000 volunteers, citing contractual obligations with Sinovac. They said, however, the vaccine was effective enough against the novel coronavirus for it to be approved for emergency use in Brazil. Health regulator Anvisa has stipulated an efficacy rate of at least 50% for vaccines in the pandemic.

“Our aim was for it to be over 50%. If it were 51%, it would be important for us, especially as we are living in a moment of a health crisis,” said Sao Paulo Health Secretary Jean Gorinchteyn. “For us, it would be a moment to celebrate.”

The officials said Sinovac asked them to delay releasing precise vaccine efficacy data for up to 15 days from Wednesday while the company consolidates data from global trials.

Sinovac did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Butantan Director Dimas Covas said none of the volunteers vaccinated in Brazil’s CoronaVac trial developed a severe case of Covid-19, contributing to optimism about its effectiveness.

“Having no severe cases is very good. That will be very useful for combating this pandemic,” said immunologist Cristina Bonorino, who sits on the scientific committee of the Brazilian Immunology Society.

“But it hurts the image of their vaccine to have this hesitation,” she added. “They shouldn’t have made a show of something that in the end they didn’t report. That’s the bigger problem.”

Ah with a president like Balls so Narrow plus a Chinese Vaccine company not releasing data this foes not build confidence at all.

The sterilization rumors don't seem so far fetched now.

The elite have wanted to lower the population for a while now. What better way than sterilization? It's easier and less messy than more violent ways of doing so.

It’s amazing that the kinds of conspiracy theory resistance that healthcare workers in third world countries have dealt with for decades trying to inmoculate the poorest, least educated people on the planet from their backwards resources religious leaders are the exact same as what gets tossed around in the richest, most educated nations to have ever existed.

I remember following the most recent Ebola crisis and shaking my head at the exacerbation of the situation through the superstition of the effected populations, which was understandable but sad and doubtless frustrating. At the time I would not have though some double digit percentage of say, the US population would likely carry on the exact same way in a similar emergency, despite having every possible advantage.

Pray tell, why would China want to sterilize the people in those countries?

Oh, this will be a fun ride.

Who said China wants it (not that the CCP deserves to be trusted)?

Amazing.

The hand-hold walk through of his own apparent position. This can only result in anger and/or dismissal.

Sorry bro, I'm not here to do your homework.

Boom.

Came here to post this. My pastor got GBS due to covid. Thankfully he’s recovered. Silver lining that church is super safe with limited capacity, mandatory masks, and no one is complaining even though like you’d imagine from a rural church they’re heavy on the conservative political side.

I am sure the Chinese's vaccine is more effective then the BioNTech and Pifzer's 99% effective. I am surprised BioNTech and Pizerf didnt come out and stated how their covid vaccines are 250% effective

50% is a low bar. On standardized tests we call that a failing grade.

Depends on the grading curve <Lmaoo>

To be fair, they can only say "atleast 50%", because that's their approval threshold, so it could very well be higher.

It's pretty weird that Brazil had to sign a contract that says they can't release the full result of a study they conducted in their own country without the company's approval though.

When AstraZeneca tried to pull a fast one with their result, it was the Operation Warp Speed folks who said "hold up, this up-to-90% figure are only for the young people".

Imagine willingly taking the vaccine from the very people who killed your grandma in the first place

@Orgasmo blowing his wad with his CCP buddies

Probably because many people understand that our government is bad and does not have our best interests in mind, ergo it's completely logical to treat anything they are pushing with heavy skepticism.

It’s not strange when you consider that the CCP ultimately controls all Chinese companies that employ 50+ people and remember how secretive they are.

It’s not a real private, independently owned company
