Media Chimaev reacts to RDR and Imavov bickering about early 2026 title shot

RDR had said "I don't want to wait. So I line myself up to fight maybe before Ramadan. If Khamzat wants to fight then, I want to be ready for that time.
I want to fight right now, and the UFC wanted to keep me for Vancouver, so it worked out that way. No, fuck off Imavov. I'm next."

This came as a response to Imavov recently having posted a video on social media, already promoting the hoped-for title shot in which he states "I am next".

Imavov was quick to reply to RDR's confident statement with a yawning emoji, seemingly not feeling a potential win over Brendan Allen is on the level of his wins.

Chimaev commented that it doesn't bother him, as both have the exact same capacity in their all-round game. Laughing at them trying to 1-up each other.

Imavov is ranked higher, has better wins, and is on a longer ufc win streak. Why would he wait for RDR?
Imavov beat since 2023 - Dolidze, Cannonier, Brendan Allen, Izzy, Caio.
RDR beat Meerschaert, Kevin Holland, Bo NIckal, and Whittaker by split.

Obviously Whittaker is a very solid win, well passed his prime nonetheless, but Imavov has a way better strength of schedule.
