I often wondered about this stuff as the guys at my Muay Thai class keep catching me and it is very painful.

I didn't know we could get protectors...how amateur am I? lol

If anything...the chest protector and sports bra seem to be the best thing we can go for imo :icon_chee

Those are standard for women in amateur boxing.

The first one is the style the women at my gym use. It's better because you can just put it on quick over your shirt when you are ready to spar.

I can't say how well they work, because I'm a guy.

Hmmmm...bra tips from a dude? lol thanks babe :) lot of help

I can't say I've had the girls punched before (or at least not to the extent or frequency that I've even looked into these devices)... but being a carrier, I guess I should opine.

that solid foam piece one I would think would be restrictive.

The super chest one is most appealing to me of the ones you have mentioned, but I could also see this model causing pinching. ouch!

the other, the maximum chest one, would offer less pinching, but I'd say you're looking at heat rash.

Myself, I'd go for that super chest protector one, or perhaps even look into the turtle shell option on title's women's protection page.

this is coming from someone pretty busty, so if you're an a-c cup, my opinion may be useless, as I'm looking at an entirely different set of factors in my decision making here.

I've always just gone without chesy protection. Maybe I'm just sparring with exceptionally polite people, or maybe I'm just too short? who knows.

ps-- ban/fail for anyone requesting pics.

Thanks for adding that last bit lol.

I'm looking at that turtle shell one too, I need protection as I'm sparring with a bunch of a-holes who like to get close when they can, especially in the clinch so anything that separates them from me is good.

I'm dinky in all areas so I don't have as much to worry about as you, but sparring can be rough so I value your opinion :) :) :)

Thanks babe :icon_chee

Hah my thread has been brought up from the dead!

Well thanks for the input

That's okay sweetie...I figured the 3 weeks doesn't necessarily kill a thread. And I wanna protect my girls too you know :)

Take it from a guy - We don't really enjoy violent relations with breasts, so we try not to punch/elbow/kick them. Protection does seem like a good idea.

Tell that to my sparring partners and coach :(

instead of spending your cash, you may just voice a standard, as I once did, "hey, fine, you "accidentally" wail on the girls, that's cool, I may "accidentally" punch you in the balls. it's just an accident, right?"

oh, and 3 weeks is no death knell around here for a thread. I still see them resurrected from years past. mostly folks looking to post whore.

you seriously think that? its kind of easy to accidentally punch someone in the chest, especially with boxing gloves, maybe you girls should just man up

We must see pics of your chest to better judge which protector to recommend...JK

amazing. it took only 10 minutes for the post whores to show. uncanny. signs you've been on the g and e forum too long...

When the title has 'Chest' and 'for females' it was only a matter of time :)

Us lasses need sparring equipment too guys!

Is it a ban AND a fail or just one or the other for pic requests? :P

Anyways, I'm a dude, so I don't have first hand knowledge, but the girl who trains muay thai at our gym wears the Title female chest protector (first link). It seems to work for her, cuz she spars with guys I don't even want to spar with.

Just in terms of comfort though, I would think it'd be better to have like a rash guard on and the chest protector over it. Then again, I dunno much, lol
