We all know Chael broke Jones' foot.
Wether he threw the fight on purpose, as he is a UFC shill or he was forced to by Joe Silva, we will never know.

What is untold till today, he also outlanded Jones, threw more and was the aggressor.
He had the octagon control and clearly would've won a decision, if he hadn't TKO'ed Jones.
Jones just had those worthless takedowns.
Ariel Helwani started crying when he got news of this and Tito wanted to fuck Chuck.

If Jones’ toe fell off would you eat it or nah? If you swallowed it his career would be over.

Chael has had some bad luck in title fights...

The Filho fight where Filho missed weight and it was made a non-title fight and Chael won
Chael vs Anderson 1... where he dominated and got caught at the end
Chael-Jones where the fight would have ended and he would have won, if he'd made it to the end of the round

And the Tito fight where Tito tapped out because a gangster had his arms around his neck

Upon rewatching it, Chael actually held in there a little bit better than I thought. Jones dominated the wrestling, but he was holding his own standing.

Still think it was a fast stoppage.

It actually looked like Jon was a bit uncomfortable in that standup. Didn't matter though, once Jon knew he could take him down at will, it was a wrap. It almost looked like Chael didn't train takedown defense for that fight or something, he didn't seem to even try and defend some of those takedowns, which is odd.

Chael said Jones was way to strong for him, like he was a toy, that was the moment he knew Jones was juiced to the gills.

He went for the thai clinch a few times & Jones took advantage of the underhooks & took him down.

For someone so intelligent, Chael always had pretty bad fight IQ. He basically fought every opponent with the same approach, if he met his opponent with resistance he would usually start to crumble, he would attempt stupid maneuvers which lost him advantageous positions. Still, great fighter though...he was relentless with his takedowns, if you couldn't stop them you were in for a long exhausting night.

Looking back, Jones knew his toe was floppy and had the fire to finish before Dr or ref could see it.

He unleashed Chael's kryptonite, a ruthless knee to the body while pinned against the fence ala Anderson Chael II.

Wonder what would have happened if Sonnen survived the 1st. Would he have won the fight by doctor's stoppage? Or would they go to technical decision? Never understood this if it went to a championship fight
