Gane is an entertaining fighter. He comes across as a nice guy as well, which means it is easy to get emotionally invested in his fights. I look forward to seeing him fight again, which by Chaels definitions should mean he did his job.
Chael wants everyone to run around pretending their the Undertaker or John Fucking Cena. When they try though we get guys like Colby and Ben Rothwell. Awkward cringe lords. Lots of MMA fighters have great careers without pretending to be some super villain. There is nothing worse then forced pretend hype. It is the equivalent of wanting GSP to act like The Diaz bro's and vice versa. It is to awkward to stomach for a lot of these fighters and fans to watch that stuff.
It is obvious he wants a shot at the title . Every fighter does. We don't know the deal he has with the UFC. Maybe they told him keep doing what your doing and everything will fall into place. Maybe he knows stuff we don't? Maybe he knows damn well calling out Stipe or Naganou or Jon Jones won't ever happen in a million years because UFC got plans for them. Chael does not realize that certain actions have adverse consequences in this new era of MMA. Make to much of a fuss, Act like to much of a jerk or step over the limits and you could find yourself in Bellator fast. For many right now sailing under the radar seems like the right choice. Until things stabilize a bit.
It is easy for him to sit back in his cushy sponsored podcast and call em all out but he is not in their situation. It is not all peaches and cream for the fighters right now. Stress is through the roof. working conditions are wild and not everyone wants to pretend to be Conor.
