Ok, he is not such a high level fighter etc.

But he has balls, he fought Jones and now he is ok to fight at HW, even against some old legends. But he was a MW at his peak.

How many UFC middleweight would have the balls to fight at HW? (you can make Hendricks jokes)

Probably most of them, if they had Chael's charisma and hence got the opportunity to do so after their "actual" carreer was done with.

He fought an overweight Bumpage.

His next opponent either Fedor or Mir subs him in 1st.
 
Chael has a good style that can help him get over on some guys in higher weight classes.

I'm guessing that weighing in around 220lbs is his walking around weight? Looking at the other HW fighters in the tournament that he could have faced, I'd say he's a bad mofo. Even though he might get manhandled.
 
I don't really consider Rampage a Heavyweight. The guy is still a 205'er with a ton of fat on him.

Sonnen has balls of steel but I don't see him beating Mir or Fedor and both of those guys are shot to shit.

Chael is undefeated at HW and beat a UFC champ in his first fight. Those are unheard of stats. He is the GOAT, no doubt.

Not too many, though Romero would most likely win that Bellator HW tournament.
 
Romero and moose could do some damage. King mo could fight 185 and is fighting in the tourney as well.

Sonnen looks pretty soft himself at HW. I could see him beating Mir if he's smart and goes for points.
 
Yoel could fight heavyweight. So could a bunch of guys. Rockhold too.

Remember vitor was at one point a heavyweight with no neck.

I guess it depends. Mir is such a sloppy fuck I don't see him beating Fedor. Tbh, I don't even see how Mir will train properly because he will have to focus so much on actually making 265, he has to be at least 290 in the pics we've seen.

Fedor and Mir are both used to HW power/wrestling/etc. I'm not sure Sonnen is. I would favor Mir/Fedor over Sonnen pretty heavily but I see your point. They are both washed.
 
Exactly.

People poke at UFC fighters for cutting weight, celebrate guys like Fedor and Crocop for fighting much bigger guys while being the size of a LHW or possible MW in the UFC.

Now a guy like Sonnen steps up and says, ok, I'll fight bigger dudes... and instead of getting complimented, like the Pride fighters did, the Bellator tourney is getting laughed at for having MWs and LHWs fight.

Somewhere along the line, people forget why they praised their heroes, such as Fedor
 
I really wanna see Chael vs Frank Mir. Mir should collect an arm that night but chael could surprise us. If chael fought and beat fedor he will have wins over basically prides elite. Rampage shogun( how the hell he pulled this off is beyond me) Wanderlei and then fedor? Insane

He fought a fat guy who was 205 at his best. Sonnen won't be fighting @ heavyweight after he loses his next fight.
 
Chael is a high level fighter, and good for the guy for still being able to win.
