UFC 13 took place on May 30, 1997, at Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, Georgia. In a Heavyweight alternate bout, Jack 'Purple Heart' Nilson faced Saeed 'From Iran' Hosseini.

I hereby bring you this fight that is especially relevant today considering the current political climate as tensions with Iran continue on their 'meteoric rise'. These two guys laid it all on the line and the class they showed each other may have built the foundation to ease tensions between both countries. This is 'as real as it gets' because after all.. 'fighting is in our DNA', or whatever.

You are welcome.

Wow that Asaed looks more like an angry school janitor than a fighter!

dat titty twerk tho...

Bruce Buffer's announcing abilities have evolved more than mma. He was awful back in the day

You lost me in the first half...
But you had me in the second.

Wow never seen that fight. 12 to 6 elbows to the back of the head while pulling his hair. I miss the old days.

Thanks to Titleboxes de escalation efforts, the USS Abraham Lincoln has rerouted it’s course to Mar a lago.

Thanks Titleboxe!

The good ol' days...hair pulling, kicks to the nuts...and guys like Conor want to say he would beat Floyd in "a real fight" in the cage.

A real fight to me is using whatever you have on hand to beat the guy across from you. WWE almost had it right with chairs/tables and such, but it' staged so it doesn't count...right?

Continuing on the important history of classic UFC and in a battle to show the supremacy, er, suparmacy, er x2, supermartial—yep that is right—efficacy of pitfighting, Tank Abbott stepped up to prove his art form in the Octagon (for the fifth time? can't remember.. brain no work today, stable genius is I) anyways... he fought some youngin' from the Amazon's... here fight is:
  • Tank Abbott vs. Victor Belfast (1997)
